Almost certainly the thermistor on the lower hose between the tub and condenser. The wiring snaps off as it is tightly zip – tied down and gets yanked out of the plug connector.
Lean the machine back, lay underneath and look up at the hose. The thermistor is on the hose facing you. Pull the two orange wires out of the zip tie to gain some slack then retag the wires with insulated amp tags. Refit and away it goes! 😉HTH,

Is the machine noisy on spin? Can the inner drum be lifted up and down? Does the drum turn off centre in relation to the door gasket?
If so, it sounds like you have a severe drum bearing or drum spider failure (the spider is a cast alloy support with 3 arms that holds the inner drum in place around the bearing shaft). These will often corrode through; one of the legs will break and the drum will become detached from the spider. The drum will run eccentrically in the tub causing the slithers of plastic to be shaved off the plastic tub as the drum turns. Spider failure is most commonly related to the use of liquid detergents and low temperatures. It can also be due to the poor build quality of modern machines. “A” rated – save a bit of energy and water but the machine is down the tip inside 2 years – so much for saving the environment……..:rolls:
Expensive fix – the spider and bearings will need replacement as well as a new outer tub unit. Not a viable repair. 🙁 Move on and buy something better.HTH,
A.

Ahh, I see what you mean. 😉
I just thought that asking Connect could possibly get an immediate positive response and maybe destabilise the deals with the other parties. As with DASA, Connect could, in return, want some sort of influence in the WTA and that is, as we all agreed, out of the question. TBH, I was thinking out loud: as the WTA is now starting to happen, I am reading the previous posts and thinking of the pitfalls. Born worrier!!
Well, if Connect are anything like my local area rep, then we will definately be ignored!!Hope you are right though….

Is this a good idea ATM? Qualtex and Masterpart are just “in the bag”, but surely we should give them a head start so to speak. Connect’s pricing policy (or the mystery surrounding it) has been discussed in the forums many times and I for one am sick of dealing with them. Granted, they are the biggest players and everyone (apart from :p45: ) seems compelled to use them at some point.
What I’m trying to say is to see how the Qualtex and Masterpart thing pans out and see if we need to add Connect. I would rather Connect asked US to participate than the other way round. By then we will hopefully have the membership to allow us to get a better deal. Then maybe everyone in the WTA could buy at the same discount.
I won’t hold my breath….Steve.

Granted, mine aren’t that new….. Indesit only date stamp them to just outlast their machines, so we should not moan. 😆

If the disc has no internet access requirement, then all you need is a spare computer with the internal clock set to 1,2 or 3 years ago….. Not that I would do that…..of course not. 😳

Will it drain out before the PCB times out? Could be blocked up. Put the machine into diagnostics and with the dial at the tenth position, watch the led’s flash and the beep will indicate the fault stored in the memory. The “Start” led is the first number of the code the “End” led is the second. Fault code list is in the UKW book or in the ‘Known error codes’ sticky. 😉

AW Services is a definate ‘must do’ as he seems to hold all the cards on ex – MFI stuff. And as the years go by he is not going to get cheaper….at least that’s what normally happens……

ParticipantRe: Bosch SGV4313GB/12 no quick wash!
It’ll may need re – coding then. I had a slimline machine that had problems a while back so I rang Bosch’s customer helpline, told them I had fitted a new PCB and the coding sheet had been mislaid. No problem said Bosch and e’mailed me the coding sheet straight away. Brilliant old fashioned service!!

ParticipantRe: Bosch SGV4313GB/12 no quick wash!
I had one of these with the switch actuator (little plastic frame above the tiny switch) had broken up and bits had fallen away. Therefore the push button on the fascia would not operate the switch. Take the fascia off to see.
If the plastic frame is broken then you will need a new PCB – unfortunately……… 😥HTH,

But the program doesn’t even get to run the wash motor – it is almost like it is sensing an overfill situation. Wouldn’t the motor need to be running and pressurising to operate that switch?
Thanks for the replies,

ParticipantRe: Whirlpool Dishwasher ADG450/05 Water Heater
WPL481225928789 is the genuine part number – £83.79 + VAT at Qualtex – special order. The site you looked at will be Connect’s “4 Whirlpool” website.
Connect price £107 + VAT trade? :rotl: Come to think of it, that’s not so funny……….. 👿

ParticipantRe: Qualtex discount scheme for WTA.
Play it low key ATM; so if you can avoid giving Masterpart any commitment that would help. Masterpart do some unusual makes like Siltal so they have a niche that Qualtex don’t cover. But Qualtex are larger, have more branches and also sell finished goods so I think the bigger the player the bigger the benefit to the WTA. We also have to show we are serious to the trade at large and if someone the size of Qualtex is backing us, it can only be good for the cause.
The ink’s hardly dry on the Qualtex deal; but after the meeting with Phil in March / April we will know how Masterpart can fit into the equation without the two companies treading on each others’ toes.
Of course, this is a subject that must be discussed as April will seem to come around in just a few moments. 😉
Hope you guys have a productive day……. 😀Steve.
