    Re: Hotpoint 9920 tub front.

I have just looked at my back order list from Connect and 1601945 tub front has disappeared……it was there yesterday…… 😕
Typed in 1601945 – showing obsolete!!!!! OMG, it’s already been 3 weeks on order……customer is being very patient……she rings today, “getting desperate – any news?”…. now it’s obsolete…… :cuss:

This is not fair. No notification at all from Connect. Just as well she rang and I checked. Now I have to eat humble pie, lose the job and trust through no fault of my own. Bloody Connect!!! I am not happy. 😈

As a last ditch attempt, has anyone got a good s/hand one they would part with??

    Thanks,

    Steve.

The easiest way to lift down a drier from a shelf or washing machine is to open the door, put your arm in the drum. Move in until the door aperture is over your shoulder. Then place your hand palm up against the drum and stand up straight. Tip the drier towards you and move it from its position. Get your customer to push the back of the machine against you to steady and guide the machine down. Bend knees and place on the ground.
I always drain down condenser driers to remove as much water as possible before they are moved.
I had a bad fall onto my back early last year and it turned into sciatica. I have never been in so much pain. 😯 Although I am working and generally OK, 15 months later I still have twinges (today it’s really niggling) and I have a numb spot under my foot. My doctor just grins and says, “Ah, that sometimes happens”, which makes a refreshing change from the usual “You’ve got a virus” standard remark. He was not too impressed when his dishwasher wouldn’t work and I diagnosed it as a virus. I stopped short of saying I would leave calling out for a week to see if it fixed itself; he sorta got the point. 😉
I tried a chiropractor but he just clicked everything else but the bit that hurt. 5 sessions – no better. 🙁
I don’t do heroics – there are no prizes for injuring yourself. Yep, I wuss out when I need to! 😉 If I could get myself better then I may think differently – but I would like to be fit and well for as long as possible to enjoy my retirement.
It’s a first – but I have to agree with Martin on this one.

    There – I said it – OMG……there’s no known cure………….. 😆

Re: Homark SE4400 top loading integrated dishwasher

Is it the plastic “mop bucket” on runners? If so, it’s a ADG945.

Wash motor showing at £116.24 + VAT cost from Connect; special order non – returnable part. 😯

    Hope that helps,

Re: Indesit WD12 problem – programme does not start

If the door is locking and the machine is still dead, then the most likely fault is defunct PCB. Common problem on Indesit washer driers (not forgetting the Hotpoint and Creda versions). The PCB is expensive……. 🙁

    Hope that helps,

    Re: COP and OFT updates.

A Repairers COP is the first priority – but should a section on “installers” be added as they are the contact with the customers and would be the ones that leave the newly installed machines in a safe condition………or not. 😉 We know what we all say about kitchen fitters and how we have to rectify their bodged installations. “Installers” for internet companies would be bound by the COP and see if it could be extended to kitchen fitters.

Just a thought, I do have ’em now and again……. 😀

    Re: ISE5 Dishwasher

Sorry, Ken – what I meant was; does a dishwasher count as an ISE2 (3 to a pallet / mixed) or as an ISE 5 ie: can you deliver me just the one ATM?
I had dishwasher requests flooding in last month, none this month. 😕 So I could do with the one but I wouldn’t need 3 ….just yet.

    Re: ISE2 kickplates

I tell my customers to use a flat, rounded end teaspoon handle and push it gently between the front panel and the plinth. Push in at the end then the middle and the lugs release. Everyone has a teaspoon and they are virtually all smooth, rounded and have flat handles.
I have only ever found a slight difficulty with ISE 2 plinths when removing them from the bottom hooks, but not too bad to be fair.

    HTH,

    Steve.
