After checking this machine in person I found the Duct thermister had plenty of slack in the wires but the last engineer used a crimp connector to join them and not a complete wire from pcb-thermistor…… but the wires are tight.
What I did find was that when the dryer kicked in, there was mains to the element for only a second then no more – I waited 10mins but no other power came to the dryer element AND I found the time stayed normal for me, the cx says it normally reduces fairly quickly
Am I looking at a main pcb error, as I thought I heard a relay noise when there was power to the dryer element for a second but nothing afterwards????

Sadly not Dave — I normally have great success on here with you guys so I’m just doing a little research before seeing the machine tomorrow

The cx has taken the top off and checked because he saw the last engineer to that repair before, so he told me – I’m just doing some research before my call out, you guys on here have always been great with helping
The wires have plenty of flex in them and a zanussi engineer did replace the wiring back when it was changed before (approx 18m – 2yr ago) … could it really be the same part again or something else causing the error?

Even though when turned to work the oven I’m getting a reaction at the element, when live it may not…. I’ll go back to test it again
Yes there is mains coming in and getting to the switch….. with the machine dead, I put my meter leads on the oven element, turned the switch and it bleeped so in theory the switch n wires should be good… thats why I’m confuded about my findings??

Ser : 71612762I have checked the basics but am concerned that there’s no clicking from any relays after the initial pump out… it just goes silent for a while until the error appears then it pumps again and stops??
