Should help with your first question, as for the second I think they’re about £10 to the trade but all the info (and more) is here http://www.ukwhitegoods.co.uk/modules.p … topic&t=40 and in other sections as well.
Just ask and someone somewhere will help, they’re (mostly 😉 ) a great bunch on here.

ParticipantRe: Iphone- Any good??
I turned my Nexus one (same as the desire) into a wireless hotspot the other day while waiting for a customer to turn up.. Had full 3G signal and blimey if my netbook didnt download as fast as my home BB (10Mb).
Awesome piece of kit, and now just turned into a very useful work tool as long as I have a signal…

Well that was my main point, they can’t distinguish between a plumber and an appliance engineer. Bloody clueless bunch of muppets imo.

ParticipantRe: Facebook advertising…
I’ve thought about it, mainly because you can localise the ads so that only people in your area can see them (No point someone 200 miles away clicking on it).
Be interesting to see how you get on regarding costs/results etc.

I do also spend quite a bit of time on the squash court getting rid of the frustrations of the day by hammering the hell out of a little black rubber ball. 8) 😆
Wow, that could be me except change ‘squash’ to ‘golf’. 😀bagman

Ken, that’s why I put ‘unlimited’ in inverted commas 😛
Smeg, the android (Nexus One in my case) is extremely fast for accessing the web when you have a decent signal. I have used it for accessing these pages for checking up on tech info when needed, and it’s been a mixed experience due to sketchy signals. Like Ken has said, you’re going to get that on all networks including dongles as they use the same tech as mobile phones to connectl.

Have had six replacements for my storm2 in as many months. Great phone…when it works.
Have just swapped it for the Nexus one android, fantastic piece of kit that will allow you to ‘tether’ to your laptop and use your ‘unlimited’ internet at no extra charge.
As for Vodaphone, I’ve found them to be average on service and same on signal strength.

I’m not VAT registered, this isn’t a problem is it?

ParticipantRe: Why is it….
Had a letting agency job passed to me today, I contacted the customer who lived in the centre of town to ask about parking.
His reply was ‘don’t worry because the time that you are coming parking isn’t a problem’
Sorry?
He went on ‘You will be coming after 5:30 on a friday, and there are spaces free then.’ (he went on to say that there was no room for negotiation on this).
‘Good luck with that’ I said and hung up. I told the agency that I wouldn’t be calling to him ever… They actually agreed he was a ‘tw*t and apologised for wasting my time.
You have to be strong, even when it’s costingyou money.
