Re: Help identify a washer dryer

I would say it’s a Servis and if I remember correctly you need to have the half load button selected for the dryer to work.

If you remove the plinth is there not a label stuck on the machine near the bottom?

It’s funny how quick they would come up with the money if you started removing the pump.

There was a modification for this problem. They brought out a new pcb with different software which was supposed to cure the over sensitive OOB.

You need to do a continuity test on both elements of the heater. Testing for 240 volts at the heater is not only unnecessary and dangerous but does not prove the heater is working.

Disconnect the power supply and then remove the wires from the heater and test the elements for continuity on the ohms scale. I can’t remember off hand what the readings should be but they should not be open circuit.

Can you answer the 3 questions at the start of Aqualectrics post as this is, in my opinion, what will be at the forefront of the engineers’ minds?

Quite a few parts Ally. All the screws are missing from the heater box and it has shook it to death. Really need a diagram as I don’t know the name of all the parts required.

I think if we can do this for our members for free then that is a huge feather in the cap of the WTA. No way should a commercial organisation be able to monopolize this for their own financial gain.
In my opinion this is exactly what the WTA funds are for.

    Re: Thermostat Repeated Rapid Failure

    You must replace them both.

If the one you are not replacing is the faulty one it will keep causing the other one to blow.
