    I am also waiting on a left hand weight. Machine has done exactly the same as the picture although the weight also tore through the doorseal.

    The reading between Live and Earth is the insulation reading and in your case is too low. The element will be tripping your electrics.

    If the 500K you are talking about is an insulation reading( which I think it must be) then the element is the problem.

    The resistance reading should be 20-50ohms(ish).

    Any electrical or mechanical part can fail. If everything lasted 12 months or more there would be no warranty calls on any appliance with a years guarantee. To be 100{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} sure you would need to insulation test the element however I would doubt any DIYer would have the equipment to do this. I am only basis my diagnosis on what you have written and my experience. With that I am saying it is 90{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} chance your element is causing the fault.

    The element will be the problem.It will be going to earth once it gets hot.

    I’m only guessing here….but would an 6204370 not fit. Same centre screw fixing. Don’t know about diameter though.
