    Re: Candy CDI2012-80 Element

The part number is the one I gave you in my other post and if you type that number into Connects website they have a picture and you can check it is the correct one.

    Yep, me too.

Asked about this £400 per month discount figure and was told by the rep..

    ” never heard of it”.

in fact was told it is “complete rubbish”.

My experience is that the rep is right.

There is a Thermal fuse at the back RHS(looking from the back) about a foot from the floor screwed to the side support bar. Partno. 160100590.

This will kill the clock and fan oven.

There is also one on the middle support bar for the conventional oven.

This F/F is winding me up….

Replaced back board and clicking has stopped but Freezer still defrosts and alarm goes off.

Does anyone have a test procedure for this model?

    Re: Van Stocks

I think if a list is put together and a price for the list of van stock is known then we would have a better idea of where we stand.

OR print a list of all the spares and prices in excel and we can send back what we want to carry then people can please themselves whether they carry spares or not.

Either way I would prefer to be carrying van stock for first time fixes and fault diagnosis and if you are saying it will be cheaper than other suppliers for “fitting to similar” machines then we could soon recoup the outlay.

I don`t mind paying for the van stock I carry but would need to have an idea of cost.

    Re: LG Tumble dryer

    okay, quick it is.

remove both side panels, undo screws from 1 side of diagonal cross bar on top. undo screws on both bars across top of sides. take out screw securing drawer to back (on the top rhs looking from back). pull back panel back including drum and feed belt down front of drum.

Remove 2 screws securing the cover which covers the fan housing and remove fan housing, remove 2 screws which retain motor bracket and pull towards you and it will swivel out allowing the motor to move up.
With the belt between the front of the drum and the front panel this will give you enough slack to feed it round the fan and onto where it sits on the motor pulley then feed it round the outside of the drum.

As the haynes manual says… the rebuild is a repeat of the disassembly.

oh… dont forget the bandages for the slashed hands from the sharp edges.

All from memory, but I did one on Friday so hopefully have not forgotten anything.

I think it will be a Servis.

    Check the serial number.

If it is a Servis check resistor R1 on the module.

    Re: Vestel made machines

If all other machines increase in price then there`s no problem with a price increase on the 2`s. As you say the customer would just have to get used to it.

What sort of increase are we talking about?£10? £20?….more?

Re: ISE 2 Problems with doorlocks

I fitted a gen Hotpoint one to an ISE2 today and when I closed the door I couldn`t get it open again. The hook on the door is just slightly bigger than the hole in the interlock. Ended up having to strip the front off and cutting through the interlock to get it open.

All while the customer stood watching 😳

    No-one else came across this?
