ParticipantRe: masterparts ..not the best of starts
Funny that, I placed my first order with Masterpart for ages, and when I checked the next day it hadn`t even been sent out. So at least you got one part….
Not the best way to impress a returning customer.bazza500
ParticipantRe: BDC into administration
Yep, just phoned about an existing order and was told they are “stock taking” for 2 days. “Aye right”. 😕
Said there is to be new managment from Monday.
Told them to cancel my order and they said they cant do that until Monday as they are closed.
Order is now coming from DAD so if BDC turn up they can go whistle. :innocent:

ParticipantRe: gbdar creditors meeting
Had a letter from GBDAR today with a statement saying they owe me £37.60 and I owe them £101.87. They are wanting paid the difference within 7 days.
They are almost right apart from the money I owe them is for a module they sent the day before they said to stop doing jobs for Servis so the module is still in the box. I will tell them to collect it when they deliver the cheque for £37.60.
What I was wondering is, has anyone had a letter saying they owe you more than you owe them and they`ll send you payment within 7 days?bazza500
ParticipantRe: Servis uk bankrupcy
I, like Jim, have not been caught with this.
The law does state that ultimately the retailer is responsible for the warranty.
The only advice I would give is..
When the appliance breaks down I would make a judgement on fixing it or replacing it depending on how long the warranty has to run. Fixing a 2 month old Servis appliance would not be an option as it will probably break again within the next 10 months however if it had a month to run then I would probably go for the repair and keep my fingers crossed.Any appliances you replace I would break up and use the spares to try and recoup your losses.
Now I know someone is going to post and contradict me on the length of time the retailer is responsible with the “fit for purpose” brigade on the bandwagon but reality is that most consumers don`t know about this or cannot be bothered with the hassle of persuing it.
As i said before , luckily I have not been caught with this but if i were then that`s the track i would take.bazza500

ParticipantRe: LG WASHING MACHINE ERROR CODE PROBLEM
IIRC AE is the safety switch in the base has activated. It means you have a leak somewhere and the base has flooded.
You need to find the leak, repair it and then drain the water out of the base.

ParticipantRe: Ise 5 parts on ebay
Well call me stupid but……….
As far as I am aware there isn`t an ISE5 out there that is out of warranty so who is going to pay for spares they can have, and get fitted for free? :con:

ParticipantRe: ISE 2 Problems with doorlocks
If the doorlocks are the same I would say it has gone faulty again. Other manufacturers are having the same problem with the doorlocks as well causing the same symptoms.

Are the replacement interlocks different from the originals?

ParticipantRe: Zanussi T/D Model TC7102
The float switch is easily accessible from the lower rear panel where the motor pulley is.
One screw and panel is off. no need for major strip down.
