Re: Indesit DW IDL530UK2 4th LED from left flashing

Sorry but could you explain heater timeout error as the Fourth light did not start to flash until it got to the drying part of the program (Heated to temp then drained out)
It heated both on the wash and the drying; I sat with both side panels and top off got very hot both times.

My question was should the 4th LED from left flash at the end to say program has finished?

The machine starts straightaway as soon as it’s switched on, you do not have to touch the start button. The start/cancel button does not do anything.

The solenoid valve is working all the time, There is power to valve.

Machine fills for about 10 sec then it goes into fault mode pump runs, but it still keeps filling.

What do you mean by “turbine” is it the wash motor?

I think I have just answered my own question the solenoid valve has power to it all the time, solenoid valve triac on PCB?

    Thanks

Re: Indesit DW IDL530UK2 2nd LED flashing

Got the wrong model number, should be IDL 500UK.2 No bit100 s/n 409212718

I am reposting this under the correct model number

Did test the heater no earth fault there.
Machine fills for about 10 sec then it goes into fault mode pump runs, but it still keeps filling.

have tested float switch in base of machine micro switch ok, also pressure switch ok, wash motor capacitor ok, wash motor has continuity through it no broken wires that I could see. Had a look at the PCB in the facia could not see any dry joints or blown tracks

Is there any body that could tell me what that flashing led second from left fault might be?

    Thanks

    Re: creda t632cw condenser dryer

I have had same fault on Creda condenser dryer it was the micro switch that tells you when the water bottle need emptying, the little arm on the switch gets stuck up if you take the right side panel of, the switch is just behind the motor you can just get to the arm with a long screwdriver and release it.
    Hope this helps

I have found that the armature had shorted out blowing the module.
Had a second hand module and motor, works ok now.

    Thanks for the help

No I haven’t stripped the heater box down, have got to go back and fit a new heater so will have a look at the fan, although the one shot is ok

    Thanks Jim

Thanks Kirk for info, only I have a range of the microtemps (look like a resister).
The ones I am after look more like a thermostat, but not the same as the Hotpoint/Creda ones.

    Re: P&G detergent training

I also had a phone call from someone who does the detergent training for P&G; they told me that P&G are now offering detergent training to sole traders at a time and location convenient them.
A lady phoned me and we agreed to meet at my house and I arranged for another local engineer to come along too, this was last Monday 16 July2007 and it takes about 45 minutes.
The training was done on a laptop and I found it was interesting and useful; also the two boxes of Ariel Liqitabs will come in useful and a book “Your Laundry Guide/ Your Dishwashing Guide” which surmised the training.
I would say if you get the chance of this training go for it even if you know it all.
All I did was to go to this web page on uk Whitegoods:-

Re: Hotpoint WD860 Dryer no heat

The problem with this was the wire to the heater was broken at the amp tag still looking like it was all connected.
It wasn’t until I was checked the continuity of the wires to the PCB that I found this one.

    Thanks again for the help
