Re: Hotpoint WD860 31135 Display says ON and the red light

I thought it could be the child lock but could not find a way to turn it off. Will have a look to see if buttons stuck on board.
    Thanks for the suggestion

Re: Bosch WVD24520GB F18 on drying cycle

Just been to this machine and the condenser does not appear blocked to be blocked pump runs ok on both wash and drying. I think it is more electrical as at first was trying it on the low heat 15mins after 3/4 mins got F18 when I tried it on high heat 1 hour it worked for 10 mins before I stopped it tried it on the low heat for 1 hour and that worked ok before I stopped it. Once you get F18 it does not matter which drying cycle you select f18 come up straight away

    Anyone with any ideas
    Thanks

I had posted it here first then found “Trade Spare Parts” Fourm and thought it would be better there, did not know how to move it so posted it again.

Re: Bosch SMS50E02GB/02 Dishwasher E24 Drain filters blocked

    Fitting the reed switch worked.
I tried the machine on a rinse prog (15mins) which is what I had been using before, the matrix transfer tank on the left side was already full of water but got E24, then I tried Quick wash (29mins) this time all worked perfectly, the matrix transfer tank drained and the machine started to wash and heat and the time started to countdown, while it was washing the matrix transfer tank filled the after little while the machine drained and filled via the matrix transfer tank, washed and heated again for the drying cycle and just before the final drain the matrix transfer tank filled and then the prog ended.
    Thank you for the suggestion,
I would not have thought for a minute that would be the fault

Re: Bosch SMS50E02GB/02 Dishwasher E24 Drain filters blocked

I think I have found it REED SWITCH/FLOWMETER part no. 611317

When I was testing the machine I did look at it and wondered if it could be that, but it did fill when I had it on the rinse program so I dismissed it as you say for £10 it worth a try.
I only have know them as flowmeter!
    Thanks

Re: Bosch SMS50E02GB/02 Dishwasher E24 Drain filters blocked

I have been back to this machine removed the pump and found a piece of bone in the pump and thought that was it but no E24 came up and still no fill, so tested the drain pump and wash pump via the plug on the power module 82 Ohms and 08 Ohms.
So I filled the machine with a jug and putting it on a rinse (15 min prg) it washed and when it got to 01 mins the matrix on the left side filled with water and then the machine drained out and the program finished no fault.
So I now know that the water vale is ok and both wash and drain pumps are ok.
The only item left to me is the power module.
Has anyone fitted one of these for this fault if so what part number did you use as I have found two?

Re: Bosch SMS50E02GB/02 Dishwasher E24 Drain filters blocked

I always do a search before posting but as the model number SMS50E02GB/02.
There appears to be many reasons for E24 where does one start if all is clean and clear of blockages.

Thanks Martin for the very quick reply, not sure about the drain pump, as it drains ok just does not appear to heat for drying.
