its because it is insulated to plastic or glass….i’e if you have a jacket potato wrapped in foil, the microwaves will excite the molicules in the water next to the foil causing a reaction…however, wire racks next to plactic liner have no molical reaction…..water and glass asorb microwaves, metal reflect………..wierd these magnatrons!!!

i work on lux machines all day…..i always use the fault code….30 seconds into house ( i dont do tea or coffee lol) i already know by using 2 buttons the fault code of the appliance…. as previous posts state, why waste time watching cycles….

however, previous experience and skills are needed to confirm faults, diagnostics codes can mislead….

good luck, let us know if you find code!

it will be the pcb……if you have 26ohms across the connections at the PCB, you are confirming the complete wiring and circuits to the heater!

to check heater, put it on a 30 min cycle, or quick wash…as soon as you hear the dispenser open it starts to heat….i use a plug in energy monitor which shows the amps when heater comes on….

if you have heater circuit its the pcb…..

    good luck chris

i know this model very well…..normal leaks on this are :

the side water chamber dumping water into base during fill….u need to replace the whole unit if blocked with food

    the circ pump leaking

the hose from the heater to top spray arm perished

I always call the I30 fault or leak into base tripping the anti flood as ‘THE KISS OF DEATH ‘ lol, as it can be more than one leak and is always a real hassle call esp with built in !!!
