looks like the starship enterprise???….the top housing that is??…if so, its tight, remove 2 screws and a sharp pull down at rear to loosen it..however the fan loom is strapped to a screw hlding fan…if u break it the fan will not fit without new duct!….caution required….u can push cable through from rear, or be very careful with a dumpy phillips …not easy m8

if the drum is loose, i do just the belt!!!…however warn customer if belts breaks again, its new drum and front bearing duct……the belts are cheap and i can cover the cost…. if the drum is siezed when u get there, then its the full monty !

    Re: Beko DRCS68W

for the record, i have done 10 plus of these…allow 2 hours for first one…basically the biggest problem is the little screw right at the bottom of the duct which can only be accessed by removing drum, backplate, motor and complete condensor duct!!!!!……on the vented on, it aint bad as u just remove motor!!!…back to the condensor version i have use the following cheat depending how brave u r!!!

    remove:

    drum and backplate complete
remove door and take out duct screws from front
remove all connectors and wiring to duct
with machine on side, remove all condensor duct screws from underneath
now the duct is loose you have a bit of play with the duct, bend downwards and snap in a sideways motion quite voilently a couple of times…this snaps the screw mount and the duct comes out
you can then look down break the remaining plastic and remove screw!

i now it sounds dodgy, but it works so well……and saves about 1 hour

    good luck !!!

    Re: Baumatic appliances

i am only manaufacture service engineer, but i have 25 years experience, and top 5 in completetion figures, think i am a honest and good quality engineer with no fear of any make or model…however i refused to work on baumatic applainces for a dealer as i was fed up messing around with chinese crap built in dishwashers with flooded bases that were passed to us by baumatic whilst i drove pass their ‘own ‘ engineers house whilst he was at home by 1pm most days! …i defend all makes in front of the customer with professional care and attention, however its easy to defend a cheap model, but the inflated price for the baumatic badge makes it very hard…no disrespect to Baumatic, times may of changed…but wht should i put up with that type of nonsense

the ‘c11’ is the 2nd position of the knob in diagnostics!!!…..keep turning the knob u will come to teh fault code being prob ‘e42′ or e43’

it will be the interlock !

honeslty!!…waste of time induction hobs……i bet most Engineers have basic washers, non frost free fridges, non condensing dryers, gas hobs and basic control fan ovens!!……the public have too much money !….why complicate things is what i say….mind u the missus is getting up with the wringer and the hoovermatic twin tub!!

    Re: ewd1409i dead

normally if it in Lux,AEG, ZAN it will need a power PCB, display interface, interlock , and after all that you will get a E31 fault, u will need an pressure switch…..if it also has a DC motor , u will need an invertor…..to be honest, if it aint on insurance, ure customer might as well buy a new one!…….

    Re: S’now joke

makes me laugh, we have been told to ring the customers ahead to check out the conditions of their roads before making a judgement…..of course everyone says its ok, even if they are snowed in, because they must have that bulb working in the fridge, or the cracked handle on the oven that has been like it for 6 months but xmas is coming!!!…customers honestly !!!!!!

    Re: zanussi fridge freezer ZX99551

before u do that check the following…these fridges can be complex!

    defrost heaters > may have 2 !

    fan is running

evaporater is not blocked wih ice

if temps all over the place the ntc sensors can be badly out of calibration

remove plinths and clean condensor as it sits underneath fridge

check compressor temp and make sure compressor cooling fan is ok

    hope this helps, chris
