    Re: SEME & Qualtex

    Hi All,
the story that i heard many moons ago when i was just starting in this trade, the two partners of south east midlands electronics had a fall out and both started trading as SEME, when one took the other to court for using the same name, one ex partner told the judge that his SEME stood for small elephant mammoth elephant and he showed the judge the logo to confirm this and the case was thrown out of court. as to which company is still trading i dont know, but i believe this story to be true (honest judge) 😀 .

Re: LG wm1480fhg LE fault motor!

    hi,

its normally the hall effect sensor on the motor that causes this fault, it is part of the motor assy, but on that note i have at one time been caught out and it turned out to be the PCB 😳
    good luck.

    hi ianforrest,

how long did you leave the appliance switched on, as it can take up to 40mins to restart the compressor after switch on if the evaporator is still frozen, as the appliance enters a defrost cycle at start up.

Re: Arrow built under cooker door problems

    Hi Squidge
some of the arrow/teba ovens required a pin to lock the hinge in place before you removed the door, they did come with the appliance but no doubt they have been lost, two small wire nails abt 1 ince long will do the trick. open the hinge using a towl to stop it hurting your fingers and be careful not to trap your fingers, when fully open you will see a small hole, just insert the small nail and repeat for the other side, refit the door take out the nails and you are sorted. 😀

    good luck 😉

    Hi Ade,
the part you are describing sounds like the cavity cover and should not be removed, is it a buff coloured rectangle.

    hi rickard
did you fit the plug/sockets correctly, if ok you have a faulty pcb,
the design of this pcb is to keep the relay contcts closed under fault conditions.
i think dave has sent you the info for the test procedure.
