Re: Hotpoint cream to make a come back

What a shame, doing some good business with people wanting to hold on to there matching washer, dryer, dishwasher sets as unable to get a replacement.
Hope they don’t bring brown back as well.

Unbelievable definitely the work of Go Local and Daniel Waterhouse. He has messed up two companies and left a trail of destruction in his wake and now is trying to rip people off again for the third time.
Took about two months for this piece of scum to rear his ugly head again!

Thanks for the heads up anyway, I will be avoiding this company like the plague. Won’t be long before there pestering me for work again.

Totally incorrect on both counts I’m afraid.

Done it and demonstrated it working to happy customers.

There is a way around this problem with the metal tray machines but best I leave that as don’t want people to start calling me a cowboy!.

    Re: bosch lower spray arm

That’s so annoying for you Johnnyboy, it can be a PITA taking these wash cabinets off.

In response to Martin’s query you just need to take the distributor disk out to allow both spray arms to rotate simultaneously.

To do this you have to obviously take the heater unit out, (I’ve never had to cut off the locking tabs), unscrew the distributor motor and remove the centre pin holding in the disk. Put the centre pin back so it doesn’t leak and reassemble.

I’ve done this countless times and had no problem or recalls doing this, actually The first time I did this the customer phoned me in the evening asking him to give me a call, expecting the worst I rang him and he said thanks a lot it has never washed so well!

Obviously its best to replace the whole heater unit but doing this can get you out trouble, if the distributor is faulty because of the pcb, a new pcb and heater will most likely make the appliance BER.

    Re: bosch lower spray arm

    Hi Roy1,

If you drill a hole in the diverter valve disk it will still be in the incorrect position and still inside the heater unit?.

I’m sure we all know how to fix the diverter valve problem without fitting parts, just never thought of drilling it out!.

    Re: golocal reactive

What a shame for all the repairers (and customers) who didn’t get the word that this company was a scam, fly by night outfit.

Had the idea of Kwatt or the mods emailing all repair agents on there mailing list and advising them of this type of company, if and when they show there ugly head in the future.

I’m sure there are a lot of members on this site that would have loved to have a heads up on this one.

Looks like another of Mr Waterhouse’s company’s has gone tits up, that’s no surprise at all to me.

Also with regard to your post Ken, it seems obvious to me that Mr Waterhouse posted that rubbish on the other forums, probably in a last bitter outburst after finding he’s messed another business up!.

    Re: hotpoint recall 70,000 dishwasher

I suppose the only good thing about this is that at least 75 per cent of the 70,000 Hotpoint dishwashers sold in 2006-2007 must have been made BER and scrapped by now owing to their very short life span.

In reply to madangler, Bosch are telling people to “continue to use the machines though not un-attended”.
