Re: Help me buy a washing machine Panasonic?

    Hi,
Do yourself a favour and go for the Bosch, You only get a two year guarantee but so much better quality than the Panasonic. When the guarantee expires on the Panasonic you will struggle to find anyone to look at the machine because of difficulty in souring parts and technical info.

I cant believe you guys are even considering doing work for them.

I certainly was not surprised when Go Local went under (again), the only thing I was surprised about was the lying and deceit by the staff there and how well versed they were in what to say in order to defer payment.

Personally I have never come across another company that has displayed that level of deceit.

Speaking to them again, its obviously the same staff and set up. 100per cent sure.

Ha Ha, so not only has the “technician” got to contend with working on a five foot oven but he’s got Martin peering over his shoulder asking him loads of questions, taking photo’s and presumably telling him loads of stories about his life as a “technician” in the UK.

I wouldn’t be surprised if this was the final straw for Dan and he’s now packed the job in. 😉

    Hi Lincoln,
Everything you have described is normal, there will be displacement of heat when you put food stuffs in the fridge.
The gurgles are also normal I’m afraid, I wouldn’t bother the maintenance contract for these problems as a lot of service cover schemes will charge for no fault found jobs.

Re: whitegoods fault code guide app

I for one have not downloaded it because I cant bear the thought of peering into a tiny screen whilst scrolling through pages on my smart phone trying to find the correct page whilst working out how to enter tricky diagnostic modes before the screen goes on to stand by mode etc. Too much agro on my phone, give me a book any day.

I also think its a shame your running this app at a loss. As you said your running a business not a charity so may be best knocking this project on the head and roll out the old fault code manual. I would be happy to pay a premium for it, even at the 50-60 quid mark.

Re: Matsui MS160SL dishwasher bottom door seal nightmare.

    Hi,

Those reviews are pure fantasy either written by espares hoping to sell more parts or by delusional customers who wrongly think they have fitted the part correctly.

I’ve had the misfortune of doing a couple of these now and it is indeed a horrible, horrible part to fit.

Remove door, and turn upside down to get good access, clean old muck well from inside lip, open the metal lip up slightly, apply loads of debour to seal and slide slowly from one side on to the lip. When on Crimp with pliers to squash seal to metal lip.
The trouble seems to be if the metal lip is open too much the seal just falls off when halfway on but if its too tight you cant slide it on.

Best part of two hours including reassembling door, hinges etc.

Make sure you charge accordingly for this repair!

    Hi Norm,

You have broken rule number 8:

    fridge-freezer-forum/professional-advice-the-public-forums-t4360.html

Obviously before removing any wiring you both made a note on paper and took a photo of the original wiring positions?.

A classic example of why it pays to get a professional in.

This made me laugh on the about us section, you couldn’t make this up!:
    http://www.servicenet.org.uk/About_Servicenet.html
“We are strong on service and believe that a positive, lasting customer experience is more valuable than making a quick buck. We are different, and we like it that way!”.

Also I have worked out where all the money owed from Daniel Waterhouse previous companies has gone, into flooding the net with loads of web sites:
