Fitted quite a few pumps to these, thought they are standard plaset pumps with inward facing terminals, (not ascol) never had any problems.

    Hi Ken,

Funnily enough this customer does run a pub, he says that this machine is just for domestic stuff but now I have my suspicions if I am only the second person to do a bearing job on one of these.

This seems very strange, I have done lots of jobs for different letting agents and when I have not received payment I have always contacted the agents not the landlords. I have never know the landlord details.

I would personally do the job but only if I could have the landlords full details before and I could contact them directly BEFORE to discuss payment.

Does anyone know the part number for the freezer evaporator defrost sensor for a RS20CCMS? (its the yellow one that is held in a plastic case cable tied to the evaporator)
    thanks

    Hi Si,
The images probably came from the old Spareslink CD Qualtex used to send out, the images didnt have watermarks on.

With regard to copyright, the internet is awash with copied and plagerised images, its got to the stage where its almost impossible to retain any rights over abstract images like this.
Even if the image owner did discover you using there image, have they copyrighted it themselves? and would they go to the lengths of asking you to remove it? I doubt it very much.

    Thanks for replying funkyboogy,

I have found the defrost heater on the connect website but they list two yellow deforst thermistors!, which is correct?.

DA47-00006W is not recognised by connect.
Also are you lot now fitting the thermistor with the black end cap DA3200006U on this model?. (this is not recognised by connect either)

Sadly the days of meeting and picking your parts up from your local trader are gone.

The future is faceless transactions over the internet.

Good luck in your new job Paul, maybe he can join the numbers helping on the phones . . .

I always tell people I charge more for integrated appliances.
What agnoys me is when they say they will take it out to avoid the extra charge. When I get there I inevitably see the machine pulled out six inches, just long enough to stretch the hoses and they think thats the hard work done!.

Dont know too much about the legalities of this but if its the appliance at fault and not the installer then we wont directly be liable for damage caused. . .?

Hi LJDomestics, I have thought about this as well, loosing jobs through this website.

Personally I dont mind giving occasional advice to the public as I have received good advice from the trade forum so I am sure that must have offset the jobs I have lost from the public gaining advice from this forum.

I am just amazed that some people who work for manufacturers go online to help others after work!.
It never even crossed my mind to help the general public online after work when I worked for manufacturers.

WOW! that is a credit to you indeed LJDomestics, getting that tub that clean and polishing the inner drum must have taken ages!

I persoanlly have not got time to go to this extent and I always do these jobs in customers homes.

However like you I like to take my time on bearing jobs. I give myself an hour and a half doing a tub job like this, there is no way I am rushing around bashing these out in 40 min as I have done when working for manufacturers.

And some models do not have a user accessible pump filter at the front.

Very much budget end Bosch. 😥

    Jim.

I know its probably not relavant to the ‘divadee’ as he has got a new machine now but the Bosch WAA24270GB and the Bosch WAA24171 are totally different machines.

The WAA24171 is a superb machine with splitable tub and excessable filter, great value for money. The WAA24270 however is not a machine I would feel comfortable selling to anyone.

Hi call me and I will give you my connect (electrupart) details so you can check yourself as they seem to have alternatives.
