Re: Large capacity drums putting holes in clothes?

Was it a non-standard sized drum capacity Graham?

Not too sure of the drum size, quite a new candy type machine.
I have the Miele honycombe drum and no problems here. My wife thinks it doesn’t wash as good as the last machine, Hotpoint WMA! Another subject….

Had a Hoover 1200 spin ripping clothes this week, no bra wire in tub.
Had a look; It was all lycra type, all delicate wash stuff. After 10 mins the lady said she re-spun everything on the cotton wash. There is only a small gap from the heater bracket to the tub, prob forcing through.

If you can take the left side off, pull the hose off the syphon chamber and pump into bowl. Have had a couple of re-calls due to glass / plastic stuck in this pipe.

    Re: Td Drum rubbing

    Because it’s rubbish.

We sold one to a regular customer, it ripped an item of clothing on the first use due to the gap at the front.
The fluff builds up due to the gap, it just dosn’t seal properly, also had a facia melt due to heat escaping from the front. Maybe best to put a washer on the drum before it’s sold 😯

Thanks to Cliff and Chris, will have to change my email account, has a 5mb attachment limit, a bit mean.

If i read this correct i have E38 “pressure chamber blocked”.
Obviously will return to check Monday. The fault table says E38 does not stop the programme, heat phase skipped. Anyone know otherwise?

    Cheers

    Hi,
Prob blocked vent. I turn the defrost timer at rear to defrost to check element ok. If element is fine i change the timer (£20) and defrost with hairdryer. Easy to miss return vent under condensor.

If the yellow thermistor is on a plastic clip, remove and cable tie to the pipe.
This can “get around” a comp that has overheated and is now slow to get down to temp. Prob not the pcb.

    Cheers
