    Re: Defrosting fridge

Does it seem to be continually running for if so given the age of it the compressor may be worn out and this can cause the ice box to build up ice quickly if so its beyond repair as it has an R12 system which is no longer used.

Just a random thought how about a thin piece of metal placed over the phone screen and obviously using the correct safety gloves spraying pipe freeze spray over the metal and see if the screen sticks to that ❓

The top trim is simply clipped on and is removed by pulling towards you no tools are needed

Ensure the child lock hasn’t been activated if not then its detecting a fault with itself.

They are defrost stats one becomes open circuit at 10 degrees the other at 40 degrees. The most common fault on this model is the drain hole freeze’s and the defrost water build’s up and forms a solid block of ice below the evaporator but if your sure the defrost stat’s at fault then Ive checked and they are available

I suspect the coil for the condenser on the fill valve may be failing the engineers error code for this would be E12 its not displayed to the user.

Sounds like its gone into anti flood which means its filled its base with water either an internal leak or overfoaming from the last wash . You need to unplug it place a towel along the left side of the dishwasher and slowly tilt it toward the towel to enable the water to run out of the base then try it again .

    Re: Beko BDVC665MK Overheating

Ive had this in the past where the fan element is actually shorting out usually by the spade connections at the back and as earth and neutral are connected it is possible for it to heat up. If this is the case you need to get the house/installation checked as it should of blown a fuse or tripped the RCD if you have one fitted.

They don’t have a pressure switch but instead use a water counter located under the fill chamber visable by removing the left side panel and these are a favourite for giving problems

Re: Zan fridge freezer ZRB224NXO PNC 925041074 Ser no 151002

Yes there is a modification to this it consists of an uprated heater , timer which has gone from 8 hours to 6 hours , defrost stick , polystyrene blocks which fit either side of the evaporator and a foam seal which fits around the top air duct entrance in the freezer they insist all parts must be fitted and it thouroghly defrosted for it to work . There is no kit part number so all parts have to be ordered seperatly . It’s straight forward to work on so you shouldn’t get into any bother.

Re: John Lewis JLWM1203 washing machine doesn’t start

Its detecting its got a fault so it could be anything given the age its possible the motor brushes are worn. With the door shut the drum empty and the main dial in the off posision press both the start pause button and the next button to the left of it in together keeping them held in then turn the main dial once to the right all the LED’s will start to scroll now turn the main dial slowly one increment at a time the fault code will then at some point appear. To exit the test mode turn the main dial to off then once to the right ELE will appear in the display turn it back to off and that’s it. Inform us of the code.
