Personally, I would remove the machine and give a full refund ; sounds to me like he is trying to get further discount from you , and I certainly wouldn’t give him that chance .
Then let him hunt for an immaculate washer for less than £100 .

Have you checked the wiring in the door ? often the heater wires get brittle and break , but the insulation could be holding it to allow intermittent circuit . worth a check

You will struggle to get in to the thermostat on that unit without disturbing the gas , unless you have ultra skinny and very long arms 😆

The second post you made here… are you for real? That sounds like some hooey you got in the “Self Help For Business Management” guidebook bought on Amazon for three quid, or less! Either that or you got it from a fortune cookie, I’ve not quite made my mind up yet.

    K.

I think that , as grammatically it is written correctly, spelling wise, no mistakes or childish text speak and no ridiculous vendetta orientated themes – not to mention absence of quotes ” when i lived in spain ” , there is very litle chance that Lee wrote that himself 😆

take freezer evap cover off and check evap fan is working, and also check if the evaporator is solid with ice , stopping airflow .
damper between fridge and freezer can cause the fridge to warm up, but if the top of the freezer is affected too , likely to be either of the above
