ParticipantWhilst the unit motor is still turning the message programme cancelled is displayed and the door won’t open.
After an extended period of perhaps 30 minutes the door can be opened and another programme can be selected but then you get the same problem.chuffy
ParticipantMotor just carries on turning accompanied by intermittent clicks.

ParticipantYes you can hear the motor running on the dispenser top which I presume is what they mean when they say “water path control unit”?
Drain and spin cycle works ok which makes me suspect the dispenser top/water path unit is the cause of the problem.
The part retails at £230.00 so don’t want to order and fit if it doesn’t cure the fault.chuffy
ParticipantYes that’s what is fitted.

ParticipantThanks Murv.
Yes very confusing.
Product code 807072366 s/n 603072366
The interlock that is fitted is the Metalflex ZV-46 C00306612. Which according to Connect is not listed for that machine
When I fitted a Rold DK01 (C00285597)or a Bitron DLS2 (C00294848 )there’d would be a loud buzz when the solenoid was energised but they would both still not unlock on completing the programme.chuffy
ParticipantHi Dave,
I’ve tried removing the interlock from the machine and whilst still electrically connected sliding the latch across to simulate the door being closed
Then start a programme and it locks but when switched off on the machine it still doesn’t release and the lock light remains illuminated even after several minutes.
I seem to remember that some Hoover/Candy washing machines suffered a similar issue which was caused by low insulation on the motor which kept the interlock energised.chuffy
ParticipantMany thanks guys.
The suspension kit with the plates is the way to go.
Cheers.chuffy
ParticipantCandy Grand Vita GVS149D3-80 N,31008281. 2020 0311.
just had a quick look at this machine.
As soon as the control knob is turned from the off position L3 is momentarily displayed( which apparently is normal ).
The display then shows E01,the door is locked and you can’t select any programme.
The only way to release to door lock is to switch it off at the mains plug because if the control knob is just turned to off the door remains locked.
Sounds like it’s getting a supply to the door lock even when knob is in the off position.
Any ideas?chuffy
ParticipantHi this post was just a general enquiry regarding the drum braking device.
Where is it and how does it work?chuffy
ParticipantLooks like a job I’d certainly walk away from.

ParticipantNot sure if I’ve done one in the past!
I think some Aqualtis machines used a full coiled spring which may be a bit easier.
I’ve had a similar problem with some Hoover/Candy washing machines that use the same method.
They are impossible to fit and after speaking to a Hoover engineer who confirmed this was advised to use a fixing band from another appliance that you could fit easily and tighten onto the seal.chuffy
ParticipantCheers Jem.
That was my suspicion.chuffy
ParticipantThanks again
