Yes Dave you can get a replacement lamp assy about £30.
But it’s an old built in double oven in a very awkward place so would turn into a rather expensive job just to replace a lamp.
The customer is not too bothered….neither am I.Hi Dave.
Yes checked that.
Couldn’t activate or deactivate because screen locked.
By holding temp and spin buttons it goes into demo mode which only takes about 30 seconds then says complete.
Like I’ve previously said sometimes the led display goes off completely or goes very dim.
On one occasion whilst investigating I could get it to spin and pump out but the reverts to the locked programme and screen goes blank/dim.Hi Dave.
The issue is trying to push the heater into the housing.
It appears tolerance is just too tight.
Obviously when they are manufactured it’s lined up with a jig and pushed into place.
I do remember a few years ago when I had a HP with cracked heater housing I tried to fit the heater from that to a HP that the heater had failed.
Again I had no joy.Thanks Dave.
Went along to this appliance today and ran it for an extended period with no errors appearing.
Not wanting to dismantle the dryer to look for NTC’s I checked the condenser filter which was well and truly blocked.
Gave it a proper clean and hopefully that may cure the problem.Very strange, no I’ve never come across that issue and it’s something you wouldn’t expect.
This domestic appliance repair trade is getting just a bit too complicated..
Obviously repairing appliances from multi manufacturers without the training and technical back up you’ll always have the odd problem.Thanks for the info Dave.
30w fan motor not much of a saving when you’re running a 2000w heating element.
I wonder who come up with that bright idea after the the many years that fan ovens have been produced.

NoelOn this machine the door catch and door switch are separate components in different areas.
I didn’t have much time to investigate and owing to the fact that it was jammed in cupboard making access very difficult I thought I’d leave for another day.Cheers for the input Jem.
I’m not really into repairing pcb’s so taking into account the cost of a replacement module this m/c will end up down the tip.Yes the inlet valve energised as soon as it’s connected to the electrical supply and before on/off switch operation.

Still sounds a bit tricky to do especially in a confined utility room.
You know what’s it like when you give a customer a price and the job then it takes twice as long as expected.
I don’t want it to be one of those jobs that I’ll say “never again”!
