Hang on….i thought the hose (with ‘o’ ring) slipped directly into the pump chamber with one white plastic staple shaped clip holding it????

From memory Simon (always dodgy ground these days 😆 ) the drain hose only has one clip holding it to the pump chamber although there at two slots for it to fit to, and if my memory is still working the clip goes in the slot nearest the pump.

First thing to check is an open circuit solenoid (cold prolly)….testing with a megger through the coil will sometimes force an iffy coil into submission, then have a look at the brushes for wear (or possibly sticking after storage in a maritime atmosphere 😉

Failing that then its a hunt for the usual loose connections after a long transportation i’m afraid

    Hi Roy

You might still like to check the heater relay, in my experience the water can be heated slightly by a wash pump thats been running for ages and beginning to hot and bothered 😉

    Re: Scandinova upright freezer

Yes…unfortunately you will have to find another home for the frozen food until the problem is rectified. The good news is in the meantime the temp will probably settle about -10 to -12c which although not deep frozen is equivalent to about a two star freezer which allows storage for up to three months.

The problem will be the cooling plate has choked with ice after the door was left open for such a period, and now needs manually defrosting. This can be done by unplugging the appliance for 48 hours with the door left open.

Be aware that some defrost water may run onto the floor both behind and infront of the machine so you can take steps to prevent floor damage. :lesson:

yes…they do slot over the hinges, take a good look at their shape and identify which part of them matches the door profile and slide them into a side slot on the hinges so that the profile section supports the outer door.

    Re: Detergent in water softner

That really depends on whether the machine has been run…if it hasn’t (customer realised the mistake) then it can be saved by flushing it but once it has been run the softener will never be the same again 🙁
