Yes…in fact IIRC it will trip/reset several times in a spin cycle in attempt to get it to spin. It looks more and more likely there is a problem with the electronics but it would be advisable to get engineer in to confirm this 😉

Re: BOSCH WFB2004. Fault with Pump

Almost certainly it will need a new pump…

    This is probably the one…

BUT, do check by quoting the full model number and Fd number (both on the rating plate)

Don’t forget to unplug if you’re doing it yourself :zap: or alternatively click the link below to find and engineer near you.

two of the four side door screws each side (IIRC numbers 2 and 4 counting from the bottom of the door)
The door should then drop down and off (be careful – it might be heavy 😉 )

Power off before opening your tool box :zap:

Yes…your model has a diverter mounted on the heater box which alternately directs the water between the upper and lower arms so that’s likely where the problem lies. Unfortunately this is not available as a separate part but comes complete with the heater etc. 🙁

To replace it is a major strip-down but not complex. If you need to obtain it you could have a look in Shop@?

Does this signify the heating element is on the way out or could it be another fault?

Heater most likely, the only way to test is to disconnect it and use a meter on it. It should have an earthing resistance of at least 1Mohm (2 better) using a 500v test meter (insulation tester)

If you need a new heater you could have a look in Shop@…..

Generally speaking, you may have got water, brine or rinse-aid into places they shouldn’t be 😉

    Re: Elba PX906 Exploded?

Sounds like the grill element itself has failed…have a close look at it and you will probably see where 😉

An email to Dave_Conway should sort a replacement for you, he will need the full model/serial number etc, and a good description of the element.

    K.

I know which gets my vote 😆

Question?….how often do you see them accidentally underpicing stuff like, oh, say a Zanussi fridge power board for £1.29? 😆

Mind you I did order from a certain major supplier (that supplies plumbers in centres) ten pipe clips, got charged for ten at 22p each but was delivered ten boxes of 100!
I’m now very popular with my plumber friend 😉

    Update….

Yes the new power board was faulty 👿

Another board worked correctly….it showed up an O/C evap themistor with a fault code quite nicely 👿 👿

Result….4 visits, 2 faulty power boards, 1 faulty display board, 1 faulty thermistor meaning it’s a write-off and one hell of a p***ed off engineer….all for a lamp failure! 😥

The only good news is the customer is going to buy a new one from us pfttt

    Re: Whirlpool ADP 4404/5

Thanks Greg…one little nugget in there, the test program won’t even start if there’s an F1 or F9 failure. F1 is the NTC which i measured at 60k at the board end which correlates nicely with the specs for it, and F9 is continuous fill which even i might have noticed (wet feet!)
So….it looks like the new board i have already fitted must be duff 😡
