    Ah the parrot 😆

Went to an ISE today not taking conditioner, found out its being used twice a day and when I asked if she’d done the maintenance washes I banged on about when she bought it I found she’d done 1 in 16 months :haier: . Anyways I took the top off the machine and on the top of the tub was a strange brown bitty sludge. Ugh thinks I.
After puzzling out what it could be I remembered when I sold it them they had a parrot cage on top of the Fridge freezer next to the washer.
The answer now became obvious …….parrot s**t. Why they had the top off for any length of time is beyond me :eeek: I only presume the now ex parrot ( no Monty P please :rolls: ) came to an electrifying end in the ISE.

Dogs eating door seals, parrots, is this a Preston ting 😕 .

Last week customer ordered an Ariston door boot I didn’t keep.
Ordered from Qualtex, shown as having them in stock. Order turned up TWO days later without the said boot. Now out of stock 👿
Customer rang over weekend so called him early Monday to tell him what had happened. Left message on ‘always on’ mobile :rolls: and he rang back later, having not got the message, with loads of we need the washer asap type stuff.
Told him I’d reordered the part somewhere else it would be in today (Connect). Bugger me that didn’t materialise, Connect picked it 28 hrs later according to their own info on the order 😯 .
Rang him tonight to let him know it would be in tomorrow and he says Ive had it sorted MATE.
    I was flipping miffed I’ll say 😈 😈

Public loos 😯 . No such thing round here. The last one I remember was turned into a takeaway :eeek: . Haven’t used that one yet!!

Years ago on my training with Hotpoint I asked a rather deaf old bloke if I could use his toilet.
‘In the hallway at the bottom of the stairs’, he said. Walked into the hallway, no other doors so I asked him again where it was. ‘In the hallway downstairs’.
Looked again still nothing, so expecting ahidden door I asked him again. This time he was much more precise.
‘ 😯 On top of the table, at the bottom of the stairs, in the hall’
He thought I’d asked for the phone. 😆

Re: PHILCO WM 1890 WASHING MACHINE INSTRUCTION MANUAL>

    Hi Karl
If I remember that machine correctly 1 to 4 are the cotton washes followed by the rinses and spin. A safe bet would be then that 1 is 90 degrees 4 is 40 degrees. 8 to 11 synthetics followed by rinses and the stop being auto rinse hold ( to stop creasing if you left the synthetics in thedrum after the wash. It holds the clothes in water until you advance the dial one notch for the spin)then spin.14 COULD then be a woolens wash.

    Hope this helps.

A favourite job which I’d forgotten about.

Hotpoint WD and late 99 series grub screw on the dryer fan. :rotfl: :rotfl:

What a shile of pit they were. Also getting the fan off the condenser when the 3 screws had a gallon of loctite on them.

    Happy days

When they help by getting the machine ready for you. Its in the middle of the kitchen drained with no way of connecting drainage or waste up.
