Re: AEG Dishwasher New PC Board Faulty?

The mains plug that you are talking about is on the neutral side of the switch and is connection A1 & A2. on one of the drawings it shows the connection to A2 coming from the on/off switch & A1 neutral feed via the relay on the board to heater and on the other drawing in shows the connections the other way round. If the connection plug is in the wrong way round you will get the neutral feed to the board going to the open contact on the heat relay so no feed to board, if you need diagram let me know.

I also did the same as you and as the machine was dead I then had to cut the lugs on the plug and fit the other way round

If you take the cover off of the board you should be able to see the contacts The bottom track is the power in and the one above is to the heater out

Have you checked connections on A1 & A2 are not reversed as I managed to do that last month and had the same fault – No damaged done to the board just dead, Just looked at two wiring diagrams for this model and both show different configerations on these connections ?

Looking at the wiring diagram I don’t really think it matters which way round the L + N would go, I have searched and I am unable to find anymore info on the timer. As normal on these poor markings on the tags

You may be able to stop it with the settings at your ISP as they normally have some filters that you can set. I had this problem a couple of years ago and managed to stop it that way.

I also use mailwasher now, it wont stop them coming thru but you will be able to mark them for deletion automatically – mailwasher free version for single mail account or if you have more than one account with the problem you could download the Pro version on a 30 day trial – http://www.mailwasher.net/
