Unplug appliance, remove from enclosure, at front centre on top remove inspection cover, gently remove thermostat noting where wires connect and pull it out locating capillary tube entrance hole. Reassemble making sure you have the wires on the correct tags and that the capillary tube (looks like a piece of wire attached to thermostat) is fully home.

Bad news I’m afraid – your compressor (motor) is seized and will require replacement. This is not a diy repair and if you decide to do it will cost you big bucks. Perhaps its time to call a halt?

I actually agree with both Chris and John. I’m on this site at least twice a day usually to find that those questions I can answer are already dealt with. However, having had Servis, MFI, Sovereign & GBDAR shot out from under me – losing 70{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} of our workload and also putting together, with Bryan and Lawrence the next meeting perhaps your comments are alittle unjustified. The comments are noted.
