Also note the £840 is for an inpection to see if you meet the requirements and this covers impervious surfaces, undercover storage, closeness to watercourses etc – if you don’t pass the inspection then it’s another £840 for a retest

    Re: Waste Carriers Licence

What you have to be really clear about here is where the appliance came from – if its business to business (b2b) then the rules are different to business to customer/client (b2c) and also how the owner/customer classes the item. As George states if the customer donates the item fully in knowledge that it will be refurbished and resold then its not WEEE however if they expect that the item is going for scrap then it is. Regarding the house clearance, this depends on how the client is describing the item, if they think you are going to dump the item and are paying for the service then its WEEE, if on the other hand you are buying the items then it is not. Just to make it interesting, if its a letting agent doing a clear out of a property then it b2b 💡

He’s the deal – I spoke to David at Mastefix this afternoon after he called asking for the WTAs help. As Ken stated earlier they have negotiated a new contract and he needs extra help in certain areas. The listing for the WTA engineers has been forwarded to him and when the work comes in he will contact you directly. There is no further need to do anything so please dont hassle him. Many thanks – Ian

Dave – pm or email me where you want it sent, is it the white painted one or the galvanised one – there are two different ones for this model.

Spanner – I remember that too, the original high speed fan was replaced with a slower version as a replacement. When you think about it as the fan gets older and starts to fail its speed gradually reduces until the point where it seizes and the customer calls.

    Re: D&G

Well I’ve finally decided that the amount of return we get from them when balanced against the hassle and the crap brands just doesnt seem worth the effort. Since the company’s has been taken over, they seem to have lost the plot and as stated earlier we are sick and tired of their bully boy games. From here on we will take the calls we can make money on and refuse the remainder and they can pass them along to Repaircare. One of the good things here is that in the main those manufacturers that we have taken on for the WTA have little connections with D&G. I’m really sad to be honest, I’ve been working for them for nearly twenty years 🙁

It looks like at last Masterpart have twigged that they currently are out of the loop and that other suppliers are fully supportive of the WTA. Whilst it was nice to talk to Brian he did seem abit forlorn 🙁

Whats in it for the WTA – the prize is only good if you have seats in the directors area or you are mad keen on rugby.
