Pardon me for hijacking but Kev’s away at the moment, just so you don’t think he’s ignoring the question, he also may miss it 😉

Logic would dictate though that if an “epidemic” failure were to occur that it would happen fairly quickly I would think IMO ? 😀

Re: Should I help out here

I would leave it, he’s answered his own question really.

I don’t mind helping anyone out with diagnostics etc on elecrotonic machines that are a PITA to diagnose but a basic dryer….. I think he was after reassurance given the stupid price of the timer 😉

Self built website evidently as well 😆

No solenoid on these very basic (apart from the braking system) machines.

Have you checked the silly shaped bakolite brake operation “thing” inside the brake housing (requires gearbox removal to access) ?

They quite often snap but normally produces no spin at all rather than intermittent 😕

    Hi jd and welcome 🙂

For future reference you can find many of the known error codes at the top of this forum including the Smeg ones.

This is a typical unlisted one and will nearly always be the dispenser solenoid s/c or o/c causing mayhem with the PCB 😉

I guess tintin means an exploded so he can try and work out which part a customer is trying to describe and buy from him ? 🙂

Which section of the machine is it ? I’ll see what I can do 😉

    Re: Scandinova Fridge loud noise

I don’t think anyone has any information on this model hence the lack of response 😉

Is this a built in fridge, a fridge/freezer, frost free (if it has a freezer) first of all ?

It may be either the compressor itself, the cooling fan motor, the air circulation motor (if frost free).

Hopefully we can narrow it down a bit from there 🙂

They aren’t generic unfortunately, if you can roughly describe the oven as others have it will help me narrow it down 😉

It’s probably got a sticky float switch but we’ll need the model number please to help further 🙂

    Re: APM Fridge Freezer 6824

I think the whole thing needs completely defrosting and the drain hole is also blocked in the fridge (refer to manual, it should expaain about that as well).

You may find the drain tube is there just hidden by ice ?

It will work but only the amount of times you pay the extra fiver 😉

In thoery, it should only be used on a network as a terminal for the extra as only one license has been paid for a full install 🙂
