    Re: Zanussi ZX77 Fridge Freezer

That isn’t the full model number I’m afraid.

    It will be ZX77/??

We’ll assume though that it is a frost free unit, in which case there is an excessive ice build up in the freezer by the sound of it.

This could be down to either a defrost problem (engineer required) or the freezer door was left open accidently.

Either way, you can check by emptying and switching off for 24 hours with the doors open to defrost it completely then try again. IF it carries on working then problem solved, if there is an underlying problem though it will ice up again in either a few days or a few weeks giving the same symptoms.

Are any of the lights on the front flashing or coming on Peter ?

These may help as they normally indicate a fault and they are a “pointer”,

    Re: candy thermovit italvetro

On a Candy the model number will be on the left hand side front of the oven cavity which you should be able to see with the door open.

If it’s missing this may be difficult as the name means little in all honesty. Thermovit Italvetro is the glass manufacturer I think.

Take a photo of the front of the oven with the door closed an email it to me, I may be able to identify that way. I’ll try anyway 😀

Could you check for the full model number please from the rating plate, the A0900 is part of it but it should be longer.

Re: Bomberg oven – replacing grill element

It sounds like that’s a torx then, you should be able to get these in any DIY store these days.

They were originally used as a tamperproof screw to stop people taking things apart 😉

By the way, no need to drag the smillies on to the message, just click on them 😀

Please remember to pull the plug :zap:

    Re: maxol Majestic Double oven

As far as I am aware, and from what I have been told (see my most recent post here: viewtopic.php?f=5&t=1661)
it’s unlikely you will get anything for Maxol cookers now.

You can try Stoves who now own the Maxol brand name on 015 143 27838 and ask.

Let us know if you are successful 😀

It sounds like you need a new door latch Margy and possibly the control panel as well.

Can you post the model please (APL??? ADP??? or similar) from around the door and I’ll check further for you.

That is correct Ruth, the whole oven has to be removed from it’s housing to fit the element.

Re: wiring diagram for Sole motor

    May I make a suggestion please 😉

Go to your local recyling point and grab an old twin tub washing machine.

The motors are far simpler, single pole etc.

On the whole they will have a V belt pulley already fitted as well.

Indeed Martin but we need more proof JT is involved.

I’m pretty certain he is but my contact within the stone walls of SOS appears to be on holiday this week 🙄 and they want info on this apparently so it would appear that either JT or Ince are invloved or possibly both.

More will follow on this I’m sure as they’ve obviously selectively chosen who to mailshot.

Re: Hotpoint Aquarius WD640 fault code F-11

What Clyde means is they are an engineers guide only and not a definitive diagnostic tool.

We can only give you a point in the right direction.

F-11 as was pointed out is a “no drain” situation which in turn can lead to many different scenarios causing the same fault to appear and is pretty much the simplest one of all to rectify 😀

I hope that clarifies this a little 😉

    Re: Zanussi Frost Free FridgeFreezer

Call charges vary quite a bit really and are best discussed with your chosen engineer.

As you are in Sheffield, go to repairs@ or hit the big toolbox on the right as I know there are reputable companies in your area that will be able to help 😀
