Graham, without the model number even the manufactueres won’t be able to help as the Homark name is simply a “badge” name, it could be one of a few manufacturers that made it.
Can you take a picture of the front of it an email it to either myself or kwatt, there’s a clever yuy called Woz on the site who’s pretty good at recognising Homark ovens.

Yeah, the heater is faulty by the sounds of it, as suggested by Clyde, E1 can mean a time out error on filling, emptying or heating.

I’m sure I’ll be able to get these for you, in fact I think I’ve got one which was a ordered for a customer before Xmas, I actually ordered a right hand oven one but the picture shows them the wrong way round so I recieved a left hand one instead.
Can you send me an email please and I’ll check for you, I’m not back at the office until Wednesday now though.

I think it’s an AI435 in that case, module is around the £90 mark and there are two different one’s fitted, it’s also one of the one’s that may also require a new EEPROM.
We will need the full spec on this machine (full model number and serial number) to be able to identify correctly(from the rating plate, possibly on the back).

The motor is around £130, it may just be the brushes worn down, although the fact that it took the RCD out is a little worrying.
THere will be a make on the motor itself, we’ll need this to identify which brushes you need.

Please bear in mind, although this is very likely the fault, it could also be the heater or one other thermostat.
If you’re unsure, check in the directories for an engineer 😉
