If the spray arms aren’t blocked (check the holes all the way along them and at the ends) it may be that the main circulation motor isn’t running.

Check the filters also for blockages.

Failing that, you’ll probably need an engineer.

    E9 is overfilling.

According to the Smeg tech sheet, it’s either the pressure switch or the pcb.

You are correct in the assumption that the broken switch bank PCB won’t effect motor action.

It’s quite likely that’s been broken for months, probably the main module as this was the norm with these, small hole in door boot on the right where it rubs the door interlock and splashes on to the module.

    Re: New Campaign

Specific action against specific WP’s is the way to go with this, as the surrounding factors of the whole contract can effect this really IMO.

For instance, I can handle the D&G BER rate as we make a mark up on all the parts fitting, whereas we don’t on the AIS contract.

GBdar and JTM would be my idea of a starting point as they are a bunch of crooks, I don’t work for either for those reasons.

Is the compressor running all the time ?

If it is, it won’t be the thermostat, more likely compresoor failure or a refrigerant leak.

    Let us know that please.

You need a new fan motor Paul.

If you check around the door for the rating plate for the full model number, it will begin with what you have posted, but it’s longer, it should be HBN43??GB/?? we can then help more with pricing etc.

Nope, ludicrous price that is :eeek:

What voltage and thread fitting is it ? There must be an alternative supply somewhere.

No, that’s not it I’m afraid.

It should be something like 02-60???? or without the 02- in front.

Check around the oven door or inside the warming drawer if there is one for the rating plate, it will be on there.

If you can get any of the Lux group products on a “special” I would say they are probably the best bet as far as back up for the budget priced machines go.

The Service Force network are very good and they are all Independants as far as I know, so it puts work back through us as well. They also carry out exchanges on your behalf should it become neccassary, all we do is ask the customer to book an engineer’s visit (which is normally within 2 days as opposed to “we may phone you back or turn up when we feel like it”), or do it on their behalf, if they then refuse a repair, Lux will do the exchange.

DAD are normally OK (ish) by comparison to be honest, the problem here appears to be with Merloni service 🙁

We don’t use Portway anymore and have never used DART so I can’t comment on them.

Best bet really is not to sell Merloni products, if you add up the time it takes and the hassles involved, any profit you make is probably wiped out if you have to replace even one of them.

It’s also a reliability issue, the budget brands have a higher rate of in guarantee failure causing more problems than it’s worth IMO, you have to ask yourself sometimes, is it ever worth selling them in the first place ?
