    Re: Failed Kenwood A901 Chef

we are in york so a bit nearer & I agree with possible motor brushes, but sometimes the components on the pcb can give the same sort of fault,
very good machine, worth having repaired.

    Re: Askol pump rant

we have had the same thing happen on zanussi w/m`s
I have noticed that some askol pump have a toc on the windings, maybe if we tried to only use askol pumps with toc`s this would prevent the problem?
does anyone know if all askol pumps are available with or without toc`s??

    Re: GB DAR

    heres another twist…..
we have approx. £1700 worth of parts for jobs the majority of which we were told not to attend to complete because servis/antoni merloni & whoevere else had gone bust & had not paid GBDar.
I rang GBDar to ask them about returning these parts, & was told to let them know how many boxes, 2 days later it was announced that GDBar were gong to cease trading..so we obviously did not get to return the parts.
Today we have received a letter from the account department of GBDar stating that we owe them £1264.72 & if it is not paid by Monday 10th November they will pursue legal action to recover the debt!!!
I have rung them & been told that we cannot return the parts for credit but still owe them for these parts!!!!
most if not all the parts are tied to specific jobs sent to us by GBDar & as such were ordered for jobs that cannot be completed & for which we can never be paid but I am expected to pay for these parts.
Does anyone know what the legal situation is in these circumstances??

    cheers

    Re: AEG Competence 5120B

    thanks for the enr no.
have you tried pressing the hand symbol?? (4th button)
if this makes no difference I suspect the problem may be electrical.
you say the cooling fan runs? is this coming on all settings or only the grill
I believe the cooling fan normally only runs on fan oven when it has reached a certain temperature?
I do not think it is clock problem.
    sorry.

I cannot find the model you have posted!!
there should also be either a enr number or pnc number on the label
    starting with 611 … … (9 digits) or 944 … …
can you please post that number

    thanks

if so is there an illuminated segment against any of the buttons?

    Re: AEG td heater

very true Mike, we have changed quite a few thermal fuses on aeg dryers & they have all lasted a long time, I dont know wether this type of thermal fuse “tires” with age, usually the reason has been blocked filters or restricted vent.
so hopefully the customer will be ok
