ModeratorRe: Kerb side delivery
My own particular thoughts on this is that it should most definately be the exception rather than the rule, for several reasons.
1) I can foresee problems of missed meetings between agent and CDA van driver and if we demand a missed delivery payment from our agent do we then loose the agent if he refuses to pay as a result.
2) Will CDA be prepaired to admit when they get it wrong therefore will missed meetings be deemed to automatically be our fault. especially as CDA has come under fire from the site recently.
3) Even if we get the appliance to the Kerbside has thre agent got the means to install the appliance on his own without damaging it and what about disposing of the old appliance ie will he assume we take the old one away.
We will need to lay down some very clear ground rules before we offer this service.

Dave,
Why is somebody who Knows he cant be involved in ISE, throwing questions into the pot in the first place other than to try and queer our pitch by trying to suggest that our product is only a dressed up cheap beko.
Sorry but I come from the Old Irish school of thought That the best form of defence is attack. Perhaps if we look like we are willing to defend our own product it might make other twats stop and think before they have a pop. Remember our friend andy 2 perhaps we should have shown him up for the back stabbing double dealing twat that he was.
Before I read this post Dave I did actually tone my post down a bit by editing it. If you had read it when it first went up I wouldn’t have been surprised if you had deleted it.
My job each and every working day is to try my utmost to get guy’s interested in our detergent training and our product and it really pisses me off when proffessional detractors with their own particular axe to grind rubbish our efforts and do thier best to throw a spanner in the works.
Unlike you I do not have a degree in diplomacy from the court of St. James. That is why I dont post that often these days on the site as I know I’m just too passionate about what we are trying to do.
But Then I suppose I have to be, to try and enthuse enough people to come along to our seminars. sorry if you think I went too far.

ModeratorRe: ISE Question
Hi,
Obviously macmini is not as clued in as he needs to be. He does not seem to be aware that all OEM’s produce a range of appliances, from budget through mid range to premium.
Any one who has actually seen the ISE machine will be more than aware of which category the ISE machine falls into.
He is also not aware that several, of both internal and external parts on the ISE machine are exclusive to ISE
.
He is not aware that a standard Beko appliance does not come with a five year parts guarantee included in the purchase price. ISE appliances do !He must also realise that unless he is a Beko appointed service provider he will not retain both the in guarantee and out of guarantee service work on the machine for a full five years, from date of purchase with ISE he would.
He is not aware that ISE appliances are exclusive to the independent section of the trade and will therefore not have to compete with the sheds
He is not aware that the service rates on the ISE machine far exceed all of the leading brands on the market today.
No other brand allows you to build and retain your own customer base and over time build it into a real asset to give a value to the saleability of your business, as used to be the case with manufacturers in years gone by. ISE does
Brand servicing is usually only given to a select few of the larger service providers in a given area. The ISE brand is open to all, provided they are a reputable company with a professional out look and are willing to undergo full product training, irrespective of the size of their company.
UKW training seminars have been held in nearly every location through out the uk, we have also written to every independent domestic appliance repairer with news of free training and the ISE brand. So unless you have been living in a cave, then everyone should have had the opportunity to find out about both UKW & ISE.

My own opinion is to trial it in Cornwall, as everyone must accept that this is a pretty remote and rural area.
I know that kev has counted the number of agents in Cornwall off of the data base but believe me Kev there simply isnt as many as you think due to the age of the info on the data base. In fact two of the guys on it have actually been retired for the last five years.
Also I would only offer them 5{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} with a free display machine as they are both capable and willing to be no 1 level service provider in Cornwall and as such would recieve installation and service work on all machines sold from the website.
Remember John 5{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} is just as good a deal on a well specified dearer product than 10{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} is on £195 piece of junk.
They already told me they were willing to support the brand and allow guys to pick up machines from them provided we gave them a display model. They are also willing to allow us use of thier premisses to train the local guys, and I didn’t even mention trade discounts to them !
So as far as they would be concerned the 5{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} would be a bonus. So i would also ask them to always keep two in stock ready to go

But that aint a problem Ken, we just select the ones that want to be level 1 and make it a condition.
It’s a win win option for them, and will encourage them to work more closely with the smaller guy’s who in turn might be able to help them out at busy periods and holiday’s or if they have guy’s off ill.Isn’t that what were trying to do at UKW, get the trade to work with one another ?

A lot of the Gripe here is that local distributors may well end up making more than ourselves per unit sold. But that is only on the assumption that they will recieve a 10{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} discount as per trade morms.
If we were to insist that those people that we set up as local distributors were level 1 service providers to ISE in thier appointed areas then they would already recieve the bennifit of having all the installation work and repairs on all appliances we sell directly from the website and may be required to carry stock to fullfill this requirement for us, based on numbers of average sales in thier area.
They would have stock to both sell themselves and support level 2 agents in their area who do not have storage capacity. In much the same arangement that we already negociated with the likes of Create in Liverpool
So why the 10{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} {e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} ?
That way we retain margin whilst still benifitting from local storage, and let the level 2’s pick up thier own machines from the level 1.
Level 1 get’s free display we get free local distribution & storage
Ipso facto problem solved 🙄

Hi Andy
Try Two hundred sold so far, if some of the guy’s are quiet it’s because they are too busy selling and installing them. Believe it or not, one guy has installed his eigth machine this week. We are seriously thinking of having the bugger cloned. (Only joking Jim ! your a one off )
Plus John is out there signing on new agents everyday, to achieve full national coverage so that when you kick in and start getting us a few sales from your site, we’ll be more than ready 😆

ModeratorRe: Martin ‘Indeed’
Thanks Kev, It’s a shame he didn’t have the presence of mind to delete his own post.
My whole point here is that it is difficult enough to promote and inspire members to get involved in a new brand or venture, to the point where they actually order machines, without a moderator from UKW casting doubts into our target audiences minds.
If we have to continue with Martin’s Dubious services then has he actually got a step chart of the appliance, to compare its performance with what it is supposed to do ? Has he created his own table of performance against stated operation ?
What I feel concerned about is that if he is going to do the job then he has to do it right over several tests on each wash programme including their variations and report back exclusively to us rather than posting knee jerk reviews in site forums on its first wash after hooking it up.
The eventual plan was always over time to develop the best machine in the land within its price range. As we are all aware we have to start somewhere to build that brand and some credibility with volume sales so that manufacturers will also take us seriously.
Have you actually given him a remit of his roll / received assurances of confidentiality from him ? if not then I for one am not happy for him to continue to be the person to test the appliance. I have tried my best to give reasoned argument in this post if not the thread.
Incidentally is there any possibility of P&G testing the appliance for us as originally suggested or has that totally fallen by the wayside because this would have far more credibility than anything Martin could ever do.
Sorry but chilled or not that’s how I feel.

Try checking out the ‘Machine on Test’ thread in the ISE forum.
http://www.ukwhitegoods.co.uk/modules.p … ic&t=14020We have employies running round the country doing their level best to generate interest and confidence in our product and this jumped up little twat is rubbishing the appliance we are trying to promote on our very own site.
He was given the job of re-writting the manual and checking out the machines operation full stop but in his infinate omnipitence he has decided to widen his remitt and has taken it upon himself to be the oricle and mouthpiece of all things ISE.
I would strongley suggest you reign him in or I’ll be phoning him for a little cellar chat, after which he will no doubt be throwing his dummy out of the pram again.

Hi Martin,
Graham has been a site memer for quite some time now and has put in a great deal of support and assistance to ukw in the background on various projects. ie Training, ISE, Seeking funding towards qualifications and other stuff
You already know that ukw is a bit like an iceburg in so much that there’s a lot more to it than you see on the surface.
