Latest music platforms from Apple computers
Apple computers announced today the development of a dual chipset
That can be implanted into womenβs breasts and play MP3βs.The i-Tit will cost Β£399 and is regarded as a major breakthrough as women often complain that men just simply stare at their Tits and never listen to them.
Apple reports encouraging early feedback from their beta developers who have given high praise to the stereophonic qualities of these latest platforms.

Hey Mick
I worked for the MEB at Stafford but I did my training at the MEB summer lane technical training school in Brum.
God I remember the bedfords only too well. I always used to get the one where the door wouldn’t latch properly in the open position and would almost take yer arm off if you had to stop a bit quick. Then came the viva’s and the bedford CF’s.
Happy Day’s

ModeratorRe: UKW CHARTER (amendments)
Your absolutley right Chris it was written to help raise the bar and the public perception of the independent service provider.
It therefore appears to be doing it’s job. They say that imitation is one of the best forms of flatery, so in the final analasys we must have done something right.
ATEOTD Ken wrote it, we just dotted the I’s and crossed the T’s but it is nice for UKW to get a mention in dispatches now and then.

ModeratorIt is interesting that they rip off our charter and don’t even have the courtesy to acknowledge where they got it from. Some of the lads on this site worked dam hard on producing it and agonised over each line. I can assure you it took a lot longer to do than the cut and paste exercise they carried out.

Hi Sean
Is this exclusive number a normal number or some fancy 0845/0870 etc. number because I reckon the customers who turn to Yellow pages are looking for local telephone numbers that they recognise.
Without the local number I reckon many potential customers would just skip by the advert regardless of a local address.Bryan
To be fair Bryan, We have been in bussiness since October 1989 and our business is well established in our given service area. We have advertised in every edition of our local YP since that year till last.
The survey was the Rep’s idea not mine. If he felt there would have been a significant downturn in calls due to the number change for that year, he would surely have factored this in, before suggesting it. After all the object of the exercise was to specifically quantify the sales enquiries, coming in from our YP advertising.
The number he gave us was an 0845 number which is local rate and a fair proportion of trades utilise these numbers when their service is spread over different STD codes, as ours is.
There has been no great decernable drop off in customers since cancelling with YP and I’m only sorry I didn’t do it sooner.

For the last few years me and the good lady were not convinced that we were getting value for money with our YP Advertising and suggested as much to the Rep.
He was so cock sure of himself that he suggested that they could use an exclusive Tel number in our advetisment that would be directed to our normal Tel number and they would even give us monthly figures of the number of people using that exclusive number completely FOC.
I thought it strange that we never got these figures. So when the guy called for his next appointment to pick up his annual fee, I told him not to bother calling without the promised stats.
When he came the figures worked out at less than 10{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} of my customers for that year, yet YP cost’s accounted for more than 20{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} of our annual profitt margin.
I told him as a result of this we would not be continuing with the advertising, to which he replied that he was ‘Gob smacked’ to think we would not be carrying on. I replied that if he couldn’t work those figures out himself as being non viable, then his Gob needed smacking.

Thanks Chris I was begining to think I’d been ‘Sent to Coventry’ π
I think the thing that the ‘OFT’ are after here is for us to include within the Charter itself a passage or discription of the fact that there is an arbitation process in place to deal with disputes between customers and members. They would like to see that this is offered as an additional service and in no way affects the customers statutory rights bla bla bla.
C’mon Chris your good at the bla bla bla stuff !
