LG are okay but the spares availability and service back up is not the best.
If you want to go by the best guarantee then the Ebac range currently have the best one at seven years. Not much is known about them as they tend to go out through smaller retailers. As far as service cover is concerned I think I am correct in saying that there is a network of service agents across the North more which is where Ebac are based.
If you want the best then yes Miele but again they do not share service info so the right to repair is hard to do. The price of spares is also higher than most. Worth the risk? Yes without a doubt if budget allows. They have a two year warranty currently but there is a cash back promotion on selected models.
Bosch is a good all round bet, the WAJ28008 is a good workhorse for the price but as you say with a two year warranty.

I think it’s the same in all industries to be fair. I guess you have to buy top end premium niche products.

ModeratorNo, they are compact 20 litre capacity. Your current one is 36 litres.
Have a look at these Bosch, Neff and others on this link. They will all physically fit and some have larger cavities than yours.

January 11, 2023 at 1:53 pm in reply to: Are Miele machines a worthwhile investment these days? #485313don
ModeratorYes the Miele machines are good and are still the best in the domestic sector. They do from time to time offer promotional guarantees of 5 and 10 years depending on model. The current promotion which ends tomorrow is a cash back on selected models. It may pay you to take a look at the promotions page at the weekend.
For all of Miele good things there are some drawbacks like they don’t currently share any tech info with the indepenednt sector and the price of spares can be a lot more expensive. A longer guarantee could be the answer in some cases.
On balance the build, ease of use and engineered parts more than make up for the downsides. Would I have a Miele? Yes I would if I could afford one.Don

ModeratorIn that case I would go for it 😀

ModeratorOut of those I would go with the Ikea one as it has a five year warranty, so you know you will hopefully get that much life from it.
That said I looked at the guarantee page to see if what exclusions there might be and found the info here which states the following “How long is the guarantee valid? This guarantee is valid for 5-years for an IKEA appliance from IKEA. LAGAN and TILLREDA appliances have a 2-year guarantee. If service work is carried out under guarantee, this will not extend the guarantee period for the appliance, or for the new parts. What is covered under this guarantee? This guarantee covers faults in the appliance, which have been caused by faulty construction or material faults from the date of purchase from IKEA or delivery by IKEA if later. This guarantee applies to domestic use only. The exceptions are specified under the heading “What is not covered under this guarantee?” Within the guarantee period, the costs of remedying the fault, e.g. repairs, parts, labour and travel for the IKEA engineer or service provider, will be covered, provided that the appliance is accessible for repair without special expenditure. Under these conditions the EU guidelines (Nr. 99/44/EG) and the respective local regulations are applicable. Replaced parts become the property of IKEA. Which appliances are covered under this guarantee? The 5-year guarantee is valid for all IKEA appliances, except for LAGAN and TILLREDA appliances, which have a 2-year guarantee. Conditions for the guarantee These guarantees are valid from the date of purchase or delivery date if later. The original purchase receipt, or email confirmation is required as proof of purchase.”
I would clarify the guarantee as described on the product page and get it in writing.

ModeratorSadly none of the main stream manufacturers produce 50cm any more as there just isn’t enough demand. Personally I am not keen on the likes of Fridgemaster and Bush as I have seen enough of them written off at an early age!!
The Zanussi and Beko you mention are both top mount ( freezer on top) only a small space, whereas you like a good sized freezer as mentioned. The only other appliance I can recommend as it has a two year warranty is the Montpellier MFF1545W frost free with three freezer baskets.

ModeratorConnect says 1740703500 but no longer available. Google has what appears to be some availability.

Moderatorthe original part number went to 00262058 which is no longer available.
Sadly, far from trawling model numbers around the same age on the Bosch spares web pages you may have to ” be a bit inventive”.

ModeratorThe limited info I can find still points me to it being a 70;30 however I know the door sizes are very similar to a 60:40 split. I guess the only way to be sure is to contact Leisure direct.

ModeratorLooks good to me, it ticks all the boxes on the physicals. The only thing I can see is that your Leisure is frost free whereas the Siemens is low frost. Personally I prefer these to frost free.

ModeratorThat model has a two year warranty.
If no one else comes up with a solution I would give Sharp support a ring on 0333 5777230.

ModeratorSome of the Sharp ovens did have a five year warranty, what is the model number please before you dive in too deep.

ModeratorAs I suspected you have a fixed hinge appliance, as previously you cannot interchange the hinge types. I have known of good kitchen guys who have been able to replace fixed hinges with sliding ones.
The Samsung has sliding hinge set up as well.
Bad news there are very few fixed hinge fridge freezers out there, Bosch and Neff, Samsung also produce. There are some here at AO for you. The other option would be to take out the integrated and put a freestanding appliance into the housing such as a Hotpoint HBD5517 which I have done succesfully in the past.
