Oxylytic cleaning…
Catalytic cleaning…
Pyrolytic cleaning…
The Pyrolytic ones always seem to be more expensive, and from what ive read means they superheat and burn any residues off??
Hi Tom
From what I can gather the difference between oxylitic and catalytic is to do with the material that the oven liners are made with. The splashes emanating from cooking uncovered food do not adhere so much and is reckoned to be 4 times more efficient that catalytic cleaning.
Pyrolytic self-cleaning cycle, the oven is heated to around 480°C. At that temperature any deposits are quickly reduced to a thin layer of ash, which can then be simply wiped away with a damp cloth to leave a completely clean oven.

Hi
Normally it`s only the bricks and mortar authorised dealers who are able to offer the extended warranties.
Miele marketing should be able to clarify to on 01235 554455 .

Phardy wrote: Possible option, £50 delivery seems steep though, takes it over my budget.
We go the extra mile 😉 , it`s delivered installed, old one disconnected and disposed of, new machine is wet tested, the customer is given a demonstration on how to use the appliance. Takes best part of an hour, I would say that`s good value.

Can get the simens from Currys for the same price. Need some idea of which is likely to be the best out of all of them.Siemens are good machines they come with a five year warranty in the main, the ISE scores heavier with it`s one call, no option buttons to press or piped music. In most cases the engineer who installs it will carry out any repairs.

We quite like the Bosch range, and the 60litre Classixx HBA63A250B seems nice, but then browsing through the DIY shops appliance catalogue we noticed an advert for a new hotpoint openspace OS897DPIX which boasts 70litre capacity?? No where locally has one to see, and i cant find any reviews on line either?
Amba & Tom
The Bosch / Neff ranges (same stable) are probably about the best out there. Neff offer a slightly higher spec at a similar price giving better value for your £`s and with the two year warranty they are always a good bet. Take a look at the Neff oven page decide on which functions you require this will determine the series you need to be looking at for pricing etc.Hotpoint openspace is not yet available it doesn`t even appear on their own ordering system yet so I guess it`s not even in production, price guide £599 INC VAT.

Hi
The Bosch instruction manuals tend to refer to a whole series of models. The only way to be sure is to take the ENR number which is located on the underside of the hob I`m afraid. If I was a guessing person I would say circa £200 with the VAT.

the 5 year gaurantee can also be extended to 10 years parts labour and callout for £199 any thoughts on this offer before i go ahead?
best regards to all
Mark(thriftyguy)Comet market their warranties one way, Miele another way 😉 for £199 for five years peace of mind is good value when you consider the call out charge circa £99 and the expensive price of parts. Having said that though you would expect that a product of that ilk and price shouldn`t need to have that level of protection.
At the end of the day it all comes down to “what price do you put on peace of mind”.

Hi
If you are going to go down the recon route, go for a Hotpoint as there is still a lot of spares out there at good prices. They are also easier by far to work on compared to others of a similar age.

Hi
The ISE10 can have the rinse options increased by an engineer this thread covered it IIRC.
This apart the only machine I know of which uses large amounts of water and does have a large capacity is the Whirlpool American top loader.

I have a general idea of which makes are suitable, but I find the shops don’t stock many models to actually see what they are like and many internet sites only show photos so you can’t actually tell the sizes or what the quality is like. Even the manufacturers’ own sites don’t seem to show many of the models they produce, so I would be eternally grateful if you could recommend actual models rather than just suggest manufacturers. :rolls:Thank you, thank you, thank you in anticipation! 😀
Hi
We don`t even see the tip of the iceberg as independants we just don`t have the space or resources , the sheds hold a larger range, however not even they can show the lot :rolls: .
I would say your best course of action would be to look at a machine which fits your size spec from Liebherr, Miele, Hotpoint, Bosch ( Exxcell and Loggixx) , AEG and Siemens. Having done that start ticking off your wish list. However be warned somewhere along the line a compromise will be needed 😉
So taking all the above into consideration you could start by looking at these Bosch KGH34X63, KGH39A43 Miele KFN12923SD, KFN14827SDE, Hotpoint FF200DX, FFB6200AX, Siemens KG33NX43GB, KG34NA93GB. Happy hunting 🙂

ModeratorRe: Good fridge freezer?
Hi
As P45 rightly says Neff is built in Bosch appliances, except for a couple of range cookers.
If it`s this type you are after can you give me some spec to work with.
