Moderator10 washes per week is reckoned to be 3 times the average use. The way I see this one would be you either buy a mid range Bosch for example and be prepared to replace it probably every four or five years or go with a Miele mid range at around £700 to £800 mark with a reasonable promotion guarantee ( five years if you can) and go from there.
The other option would be to go for budget Beko, I am not a fan of this way as it’s not good for the environment.

ModeratorThe instructions are probably generic, so they would be good for almost all their models.

ModeratorAlso when unloading a larger item load like sheets or towels, there is a danger as you pull on them to remove the dryer could come down on top of you. There are a couple of universal stacking kits on the market whether they will do thew job properly is another matter.

ModeratorThe orange light only indicates that power is going through the unit. If everything has defrosted and the temperature raised inside then the red alarm light would be on.
When you had the freezer delivered was it left to stand for five hours before plugging in?
Once switched on and running cold was it only frozen food that was put in or was everything fresh?
What setting is the temperature control set at?
If indeed the appliance is faulty your first point of contact is the retailer as your contract is with them. You will need to have photographic evidence of the spoilt food along with costings.

ModeratorHi
If the board has been diagnosed as faulty I doubt many of the guys would be able to repair it as without the circuit diagram etc it would be nigh on impossible. As you say the part number does not come up on Google and our main spares supplier says “no longer available.”
Not good news I know 😉
May be time for a replacement cooker.
Have deleted your other thread in public spares as it is better to keep a topic to one thread.

ModeratorAll refrigeration is in very short supply across the industry. Most manufacturers are quoting 6 weeks plus at the moment and we can’t see it getting any better until the new year!!
If you want new and a branded machine you will need to put one on backorder. Fridgemaster and Currys Essentials are not the best granted but if that’s all there is…….
If you go down the reconditioned route I would try and get a Hotpoint, Bosch or Beko and try and get as long a guarantee as is possible, 12 months would be the best.

ModeratorJohn Lewis own brand is usually produced by the AEG, Electrolux and Zanussi group. If this model is then it should be fine. I personally think it’s an AEG variant.

ModeratorMiele are still the best engineered machine there is, granted the spares are more expensive than most and the service is restricted to their own service agents but all that said they are the best.
