For under a 1k budget I went with Beko, reason being spares are easily available as is service. LG and Samsung are okay when working but spares and service is very sporadic at best.

You can pick up DC01 motors for under Β£20 there were two sorts the Ametek and the YDK just make sure you get the right one. As Dave said the 01 were good in fact the best model Dyson ever produced IMO, much better than the rubbish they are currently producing.

Sebo are still the best by far πŸ˜‰

I have never seen a stand alone fridge or freezer with plumbed water or ice. This function is normally found on the American style fridge freezers. If you need ice but do not have the space then I would suggest a seperate ice maker.

Indeed there is hardly any stock around at the moment, you can blame Covid 19, shut down of factories, component manufacturers who produce for appliance factories who are now producing medical supplies etc. We cannot see the situation improving anytime soon.

Indesit are from the same stable as Hotpoint and Whirlpool just not finished as nice inside as the other two but functionally the same.

There have been no issues with refrigeration just their washers and dryers.

Most manufacturers machines will accept a hot fill up to 60 degrees.

So other than Liebherr, is there anything recommended?
What about Electrolux or Beko- are these any good?

    I would appreciate any advice!

Nothing comes anywhere near to Liebherr. Take a look at Miele as well whose products are produced by Liebherr.

Beko are okay, systems work well but the plastics are a bit on the thin side. Bosch is okay, a lot of there’s are made by Daewoo IIRC. Hotpoint are the biggest seller as they produce the largest range, on the whole not bad at all.

    K.

I was wondering the same thing when you had the issue with the Liebherr, an exchange could have been organised.

The rumour was going around just prior to lockdown.

With the world of high street retail in turmoil globally at least it gives the consumer another online choice.

Great stuff, sense has prevailed at last. That price for a slimline integrated is not that bad as they are very low volume.
