ModeratorAll Bosch Series 2 have the Polyinox (plastic) base) which over the last few years have had problems of leaking when the base distorts after too many hot washes. Bosch have modified the joint seals a couple of times in the past. Are the latest versions any better? Only time will tell. Series 4 and up all have the full stainless steel tank. All other brands have full stainless steel tanks.

ModeratorWhich company are selling on Ebay?

ModeratorI go with Beko. Sharp (same as Beko) if registered with Warranty Solutions a five year guarantee is on offer. Bosh Series 4 and up. Whirlpool which is better than better than Hotpoint and Indesit.

ModeratorIt will still have a magnetron and a stirrer fan instead of a turntable so it will be just as noisy.
don
ModeratorMicrowaves are very quiet in operation. I have never seen any noise levels quoted, it’s certainly not a requirement under the current labelling system. I would go for a Sharp or a Panasonic myself.

ModeratorIntegrated freezer? I would go for a non frost free model as there are less components to fail. Keeping the freezer full will inhibit ice build up.
Double oven? at that sort of budget you are looking at Beko, Indesit and low end Hotpoint. Not too bad should last a few years if treated respectfully.
Induction hob? I would definitely consider that AEG even at the higher price, Bosch are worth a look as well.

I was surprised they offer only a 2-year guarantee (same as the Bosch) except for some models. If all Miele appliances had a five year warranty the prices would have to rise somewhat.

ModeratorThere was all sorts of takeovers etc concerning Asko. They are now owned by Gorenje which is a Slovenian company. For more info on availability I would ring Gorenje direct.

ModeratorSharp dishwashers are in the main Beko made. They will have a five year warranty if you register it with warranty solutions which make them a really good buy.

ModeratorThe Miele five and ten year warranty’s are a promotional tool used by Miele. The more expensive the model the longer the the guarantee. There are very few exclusions but it’s worth checking the guarantee conditions on their website.

ModeratorI would say so 🙂
Purchase from John Lewis and get an extra year on the warranty and half price installation.

ModeratorTry Ken in the UKW shop spares@ukwhitegoods.co.uk or you could order from F.P. direct https://www.fisherpaykel.com/uk/kitchen/cooking-appliances/accessories/top-oven-element.542656.html

ModeratorThe best case I can come up with is the Bosch WAN28201GB. While this doesn’t have the dreaded sealed drum unit you can replace the back half of the tub which has the bearings already fitted. Trouble is the cost of this and the labour to complete the job would not be cost effective I’m afraid.
Miele washing machines ( the models I have checked) you can replace the bearings however the cost of the parts will not be cheap.

ModeratorMake and model number would help 🙂

ModeratorThat Blomberg at £449 with a five year warranty is as good a deal as you are going to get. As it is a Beko in a skirt the parts are readily available and at a reasonable cost.
