    Hi

Sadly not I’m afraid, you have better odds at winning the lottery 🙂

If you can post up a picture of the control panel in question I’m sure one of us will be able to help out your ma in law.

You have got a cracking deal 🙂

Greenbanana wrote: IF it doesn’t work will it be difficult to replace it with another one?

    No it should be straightforward.

Greenbanana wrote:Will the hole cut out for it be a standard size?

Cut out sizes do vary but a good kitchen fitter would be able to trim the cut out very easily.

Greenbanana wrote:Can I ask my electrician to test it?

I would get him to test it before he drops it into the worktop just to be on the safe side.

Don’t forget the hob should be installed as per the installation instructions to ensure good air flow etc.

    Hi

Good old Google to the rescue 🙂

Found this article which should help you to identify and resolve the problem.

They should be just inside the drum at about 7 o’clock.

    Hi

Looking at the explosion it is not a DIY job I’m afraid as it would appear that the hob tray and trims need to be removed in order to replace the hinge.

This job would need to be carried out by a Gas Safe engineer. There should be one local to you from the register here Sorry but we have to be safe when it comes to gas.

    Hi Chris

If you want to have a go then you will need to remove the element and then Google the details ie diameter and wattage compare the fixings on the pictures.

Ebay and Amazon stock quite a few so they could be an option.

Don’t forget to remove the plug before going in 😯

    Hi

It’s a budget import from somewhere probably from China with no spares available. If it goes faulty under the guarantee Aldi would simply replace if they have stock or refund if not.

After this period if it fails it simply becomes a disposable item.

Re: NEFF double oven with more than one "symptom" of ill hea

    Hi

Sadly the answer to all your questions cannot be answered on here because we don’t know ourselves. However a few answers can be found here on the Neff site for explosions and lists. These are what we have to work with as independent engineers. Neff own engineers are the only ones to have full service access.

Calling Neff out will cost £95 odd pound plus parts and VAT which may be a cheaper option in the long run as diagnosing this complex fault may just cost you a bomb.

    HTH 🙂

    Hi

I suspect your SMS40 has the plastic base which has been a thorn in Bosch side for a few years now and giving the faults you describe. So if you want to stay with the brand then look at the series 4 range and up which all have a full stainless steel tank.

These aside look at the Zanussi and AEG (same stable) with slight differences.

    HTH 🙂

    Hi Peter

Baumatic ceased trading about four years ago, Hoover Candy took on the spares after this point. Not what you want to hear I know 😉

The part number of the seal is 07022640 I have tried Googling but with no success. The last resort you have is to phone Hoover spares direct and ask the question.

    Re: Slimline dishwasher top

    Hi

You should be able to remove the worktop lid by removing the two screws holding it at the rear and then pushing the lid towards the back. Once off though you need to cover the exposed top area so little fingers or foreign objects being trapped and causing a problem.

There may be one already on your old appliance 😉

As an aside did you enquire when you ordered the dishwasher you would need a reduced height machine and was the delivery team aware of your requirements?

    Hi

The AEG and Zanussi’s are a lot better than some of the other offerings currently out there.

White knight dryers are not bad, good value and cheap to repair but for build quality etc then the AEG is the way to go.
