    Re: SMEG dishwasher problem

Could be something as simple as blocked spray arms, You need to remove them to do this properly. Read the “diswasher not cleaning properly” thread near the top of this forum.

Re: Drain Hose and fill hose extension kits

In the days i had a shop, that was the most frequently asked question. And one we could never answer as the customer never knew what the end of their existing drain hose was like or what it was going to fit on at the other (drain) end. i used to try a get a call out of it to fit a complete new one, often not an easy job these days.
Bosch used to do one to fit their drain hose that had a flat section, rather than the corrugations, every 10 cm or so that allowed a fubber sleeve to tighten down onto without leaking.
As for the ones with just a cut off corrugated hose there is nothing that will ever do the job properly.

Why not make your own on Avery inkjet stickers and that way you can stick your phone number on there as well, or get (kall Kwick or the like to print them).

Re: Set fee service calls ?

I had a smeg made, hotpoint washer dryer the other day that Hotperloni had visited and said it needed a motor and programme module. They quoted £180 max inc parts and lab yet the hotpoint price for just the module is more than that. They quoted 3 weeks to get the parts though but i had a module in stock and did it on the spot for about the same amount all in, nothing wrong with the motor needless to say.

It will be bunged up with gunk on the meetering unit, its in the left hand side panel, (when viewed from the front). Dont attempt anything without unplugging first. and dont try to use it as it will burn the heater out…..if it hasn’t already.

deffo worth the trip Bazza, but not the way you planned it. I would recommend arriving Thursday to anyone 150+ miles away, as the meeting usually starts 10 ish. Hey, give yourself a break, maybe if just for that reason its worth it.

Ken, despite 2 pop up messages saying it needs a updated version of acrobat (I have 5) for it to work, it does seem to work but I have not tried to submit it, should I try a fictional version?

    Re: Dishwashers

As for the AEG, pull the machine out of its housing and check any wiring behind the machine, I have had a Hob cable insulation wear through over the years as the diswasher rubs against it hence just movement of the door could trip it out. Stranger things have happened, usually to me.

Re: Brand New Miele W2240 Washer

can only suggest opening the door (using the emergency release in the filter housing) and closing it again. Is it simply plugged in or hard wired? check the socket or the wiring whichever applies. only other thing to do is call the Miele service number.

    Re: New twin tub

Haven’t seen one of these in the flesh as yet, but what I have noticed about the picture is:a) it seems to have feet rather than rollers, you know how the old ladies with twin tubbs like to roll them into some specially made cupboard, well with this they may be dissapointed.
    b) the picture supplied by portway (and the one Don has linked to above)shows the drain hose on the side of the machine. This is of the type used in Japan and elswhere that empties into a drain under the machine via a dump valve, if they think this is going to empty into a sink they will again be dissapointed.

If anyone has seen one of these (there seems to be several all of a sudden) please check this out for me.
