were the brushes worn? maybe its not the problem? Have you fitted the motor brush module correctly so the pins fit into their sockets?

ModeratorRe: Miele W806 pressure system location?
yes, heater is fine then, would have been open circuit if faulty due to the pressure chamber being blocked.

ModeratorRe: Miele W806 pressure system location?
front off, just next to the heater. Beware though the dreaded underfill fault after cleaning which needs re setting by a Miele man with laptop…. hopefully you will be alright but would suggest testing the heater while you are in there.

ModeratorRe: News
regardless of how its best to communicate, I think Ken or ISE need to write (and post letters I mean – its not like you don’t have the addresses) to all the registered customers explaining the situation about warranty’s service, spares etc. At least that may take the sting out of any anger directed towards the agents or seller.
One thing is for sure, once they are not getting paid a lot more “faulty” machines will be blamed on misuse or customer issues and the engineers will fight the cause a lot harder than before. One other point Ken, have you (or your staff) ever compared jobs raised- to actual invoices being presented? I think it would have shown up what agents were working to correct principles.

Some of us ex MFI agents will recall whole days just changing W00000000051 switch units just because all the installers failed to fit the right fuse in the plug… good days!

Yep, Its the bulb blowing that takes the fuse, but don’t be tempted by a bigger rated fuse, when the bulb blows it will take the swtich pcb track instead.

progress huh…. had a lot of failures of these initially but none in the past couple of years so I thought they sorted the issues. Have to wonder if, once converted, they perform anywhere near their energy label rating. Still have 2 original type heaters in stock. Miele also had issues but now seem sorted as did Inesit.

aware of both those mentioned but at £12 from SRW compared to £5.79 from qulatex….. the stuff I got off ebay was cheaper. Must admit, always forget about masterpart.
Better stockpile it then!eastlmark
ModeratorRe: Smeg Dishwasher spring fit – DI612A
well, smeg uk have a tool they rent out to agents…….
but they also suggest this method:
I find the following works,
reverse the spring for starters so the loop in the spring is at the top. Push out the 2 plastic covers (if fitted) for the screw holes in the side of the cabinet so you should now have a hole on each side. Take a long but strong screwdriver that will fit through the loop in the spring and then poke the end of the screwdriver into the hole in the cabinet to use it as a pivot point. (Leave the door shut) Lift the screwdriver upwards while placing a foot on the base of the dishwasher to stop it lifting and it usually slides up the screwdriver shaft and will be easy to hook it onto the top hook. Obviously back off any adjusters (if fitted) to make the stretch as little as possible.
Wear gloves and eye protection and don’t take on more than one job that day, you arms will ache like hell!eastlmark

you have not said if it is heating or not during that minute?
if not look at the heater relay pcb. If there is no heat, programm will abort. -
