ModeratorRe: Bosch WAS28460 door ??
the bosch/siemens door thing is getting more complex. forgive me for not having the model to hand but this one had a broken handle, there was a part number available but no screws on the door to take it apart, looks like plastic welded rivets in the screw holes instead, so new door fitted £80 odd.

ModeratorRe: SMEG selector switches HELP!!!!
I think your problem may be the model number, SUK61MFX5 is a single oven range cooker.

It is a Smeg underneath but it looks like you have covered all the possibles. Usually its fluff build up on the fan but that would have been obvious when you removed it. Fan motors do stop when hot but its a costly part to fit without proof. Sure its not the customer turning it off before cycle end? If NTC faulty it will flash up an F11 (I think) fault. I assume you have fitted a genuine valve, not just changed the coil?

timdowning wrote:Yes top section of description is normal behaviour.
The bottom half of your description is generally caused by the hose at the bottom of the condenser becoming blocked. A very awkward hose to get to but can be done in situ. Swearing & plasters required!
Thanks Tim, must admit to there being less airflow from the fan then I would have expected so you could be right. Top end of condenser under the fan is clear and I have tried flushing water down the condenser which seems to flow through freely. Will have to get a fresh box of band aids then.eastlmark

First I have heard of that and still showing on Servevasts web site. As I said before though that model number is not recognised.

ModeratorRe: return of the black door seal
I got a great idea, make the doors smaller then customers wont get stuff trapped and damage the lip….what comes around.
Damaged lips are good for business though so maybe not.

Martin wrote:680769 been around a few years Mark. It is the grease resistant version of the standard issue door boot.
Yes, obviously, but the standard is now obsolete and replaced by the 680769 which is, the point being, black.
Thing is, we are not changing loads of these for oil related issues, its the chunk out of the lip user problem.eastlmark
ModeratorRe: return of the black door seal
Notice these are being supplied as spares now in place of the grey ones; EG: 680768 now 680769 = a black door seal. Having mixed responses to them from customers….
