    Cheap hob, Cheap pans?

Take a couple of good quality solid base pans with you to do the test.

Cheap thin pans that have gone convex on the base don’t perform well on electric hobs.

    Useful video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q942xn_2VXY
The guy on the video describes the sequence for “neutral drain gearbox” which was not fitted to most UK models.
Most UK models will go directly into spin whilst the tub is still full of water.

Re: Whirlpool Main S20BSRB21 Main Board

Only ever seen CC display once and that was when I inadvertantly fitted a board intended for a machine with LCD display panel to a machine with LED panel.

If the front board was replaced three years ago it should be compatible.

    Both boards can be repaired.

I have swapped out a couple of Bosch dishwashers (like for like)and the new ones were a bit of a shoehorn job so may be marginally wider

    Re: Power Station Closures

Governments can’t back down on carbon emission targets even though the theory behind them has been largely debunked.

The reason is that it is taxed and produces a revenue stream.

We shackle our own industries with excessive regulations yet allow imports from countries that ignore the rules.

It would not be too difficult to calculate how much carbon was released into the atmosphere for each piece of Chinese junk that lands on these shores and then apply a multiplier based on it’s short life span and tax it apropriateley.

All in the interest of saving the planet of course.

Only slightly relevant but I repaired a 19 years old Asko TD yesterday and looking at it I predict it will out last it’s owner.

Didn’t tell them that though 😆

You won’t if it’s stopped doing it so best go armed with a replacement valve.
