    Re: CALGON TV Adverts

Going back to the Calgon adverts has anyone seen the one where the “engineer” delivers his spiel to the customer whilst his steel cantilever toolbox is in the background standing on the polished marble work top :eeek:

The water softener is obviously not working so it may not be regenerating.
My guess is that they put detergent in the salt pot some time in the past and if so it will be fubarred. 😥

    Re: SAVE ON FUEL ?

Why not make your own bio diesel from the waste cooking oil then there is no need to modify the vehicle.

There are a few pieces of kit out there to do the job such as this one http://tinyurl.com/669d53g .

I considered doing it myself but I can’t source enough cheap or free cooking oil as there are companies locally who do the conversion on a large scale 😥

If you haven’t done one before I would take it home to play with in order to not look like a pr@tt.

Then next time around you can tackle it with confidence.

BTW have you priced up the new motor? :eeek:

    Re: Another joke.

A wife says to her engineer husband, “Could you please go to the store for me and buy a carton of milk. And if they have eggs, get a dozen .”

A short time later the husband comes back with twelve cartons of milk.

The wife asks, “Why the heck did you buy twelve cartons of milk?”

    “They had eggs.”

    I now charge £85 minimum.

Fitting the door is the skilled bit which sets us above the DIY’ers and bodgers and justifies the higher fee.

As for “bespoke kitchens” I often just take a look and walk away as they dont seem to be made with dismantling in mind.

OK fine Jim, as you were. Clive has an Android and whilst it is fully Adobe compliant the FCB don’t work right, hence my suggested fix. Thinkfree Office is a brilliant app by the way especially for viewing Adobe pdf files. It has a brilliant search facility which is priceless especially when sifting through all that Candy and E/lux stuff. The future is Android.

    I prefer the Turbo-Entabulator. 😕

Numbers will be fewer than the last meet so how about a smaller venue with more reasonable costs.

I will come anyway but with a stay at the Hilton costing more than flights to Spain I won’t be staying over.

    Re: hot fill w/machines

Starts filling with cold to take the detergent then tops up with hot or mixed.
Not much hot goes in though in practice because of the low water consumption but if the customer wants a h&c fill machine and I can supply one then I am not going to try talk them out of it.

I’m with Gaz the orange font on blue background doesn’t work for me.

    Is there a customise feature.
