    Seen this on other makes and it isn’t a fault.
    If you add up the max ratings of all four rings it will exceed the max rating of the whole unit and the settings adjust to allow for this.

    Have another look at the JG fitting.
    They are used on copper pipe and are a push on fit.
    I have used lots of these on water cooler installations and they are very good but must not be used on chrome plated pipe as the teeth in the fitting will not grip.

    Word of warning though,never use JG fittings on chrome plated pipe cos they come off!
