Re: LG fridge freezer ice dispenser

Hello, has it stopped making it, or dispensing it?
It it a plumbed in model, or do you have a bottle in the fridge door?

    No.
The pcb needs the impulse from the sensor to power the fan.

He’ll David, this sounds like a system fault.
That is, a fault with the compressor, refrigerant level or both.
It sounds like you need an engineer out. Not necessarily Miele!

Re: Liebherr GN2323 Freezer not cold enough

    No, not at all.
-9 would tell me that the fan isn’t working.
The sensors plug into the pcb on the top. I’d check that the fan works when the evaporator is frosted and the door is closed.
If the fan isn’t working, then your problem could be evaporator sensor 9590148, fan or pcb.

Re: Liebherr GN2323 Freezer not cold enough

    With the door open, maybe.
If you pull the clips off either side the evaporator will swing down. Then you can take off the top insulation piece to expose the evaporator, when you could see if there was frost on it.
How long has the freezer been turned back on for?

Re: Liebherr GN2323 Freezer not cold enough

hello, -9 is about the temperature that you’d expect if the fan was running, or if there was no effect of the fan running.
by that, I mean if the evaporator is blocked with ice and there is no air flow that the appliance relies on for its efficiency.
can you supply a service number?

just had a look and the part you need is 9590142.
the fridge evaporator sensor is behind the back panel in the fridge and it’s the sensor that is flush to the back wall.
fitting instructions come with the sensor.

Hello f2 refers to the evaporator sensor in the fridge. Without the tech info in front of me, I don’t know if this is a foamed in sensor, or one that you can see.
If it’s foamed in, it’s replaceable with a kit and a little more involved. If there is a sensor on the evaporator then you’ll need 9590142 sensor repair kit and it’s an easier job.

Re: How long for a brand new fridge before using

Sorry just read that again and it’s not clear. Some manufacturers say their filters are ok for 6 months, some say 12.
I’m not sure what yours will be, but it will be in the literature. It should all be clear from there.

Re: How long for a brand new fridge before using

There should be a filter with your new fridge though? Water filters last between 6 and 12 months. The filter light on the fridge (if there is one) will come on after 6 or 12 months. This is normally just on time, not on the amount of water you’ve actually drawn off.

Re: How long for a brand new fridge before using

Has the fridge recently been transported by you or to you?
If so, you’ll need to leave it for a good few hours to let the oil in the compressor settle back down. The last thing you want is for oil from the compressor to be pumped around the system.
When you’re sure it’s rested for long enough, then plug it in and watch it get down to temp, before putting food in.
£31 sounds about right for a filter. You may be able to get one a little cheaper. Bottled water as an alternative, for the time that the filter lasts would cost a lot more.

If you’re plugging in a brand new fridge, then after leaving it to stand for a few hours unplugged, a couple of hours should do it. Just to make sure the appliance is working and also down to temp.

Brighton too today. If derby go up it sort of justifies the play offs anyway. They finished in third place easily.

Yes, I’ll be hoping they turn over qpr and then derby in the final. Truth is, I’d like anybody to win other than Arry’s mob.

    Re: Football Season 2013/14

It’s been a great season in more ways than one.
It’s been a strange last day of the premier league when United aren’t involved in the shake up.
Closer to home, it’s been an amazing season for Burnley. Finishing runners up in the championship was way beyond anyone’s expectations when the campaign began.
Promotion for Rochdale, Fleetwood and Preston in the play offs.
A good season for Northern teams.
