Moderatorwould need to see what has blown on the board to work it out

Moderatorwell its a variable frequency 3 phase inverter using mosfet transistors
also to do this the mains is rectified to dc and stored in large capacitors. so it can give you a nasty shock even when its unplugged
in other words be careful
Dave

Moderatorif a tri phase motor only gets 2 phases you get exactly what your seeing
so its most likely a board fault
if you bought a new board from hotpoint it would need to be programmed. if you bought a used board you would have to be certain it has correct software
you could ask
https://www.qualityelectronicrepairs.co.uk/
see if they can test and repair if needed

Moderatorwell the centre of those plastic rivets are hollow so if its just the tops broken off you can add self tappers
if not new door time or ebay

Moderatoryou can get the mag off ebay a lot cheaper than from Bosch as the system Bosch use is made by panasonic
you will have to hope the inverter is ok unless you test it
the caps on the inverter can still hold a charge and have to be discharged but in the old system the cap is bigger and therfore is more likely to kill you if not discharged

Moderatoraccording to tech there are 3 modules fitted to this model dependant on serial
from what i can see you should have part no 49122816
have you got this one ?

Moderatorthe inverter does not need a cap as the cap in the conventional circuit act as a voltage doubler but you still have to discharge it just in case
try this
if you look at the mag there are often small holes in the top box
if you turn the lights down and look through these holes while its running you may see a glow of the heater
if you see a glow chances are its just the mag
for any other member of the public reading this microwaves contain lethal voltages and should not be played with unless you know what your doing
