whilst I can see you point Gerry85 it is unlikely the board will be affected. most big boards use a switch mode power supply. In this type of supply the voltage is rectified and smoothed to DC and then converted so frequency will have no effect. some board use a transformer to lower the voltage and a 50hz transformer should be quite happy on 60 hz its the other way round you have problems

Re: Running a UK washing machine on 220V 60Hz

had these sort of problems before but not on this machine. Work in Liverpool and get asked to look at machines on board ship. the electrical supplies on board ship are tied to where they are made so a lot run on 60hz
had a hoover machine that had been installed on board a ship. the supplier had changed the pump and sold it as a converted machine. this machine had a standard brush motor and I soon realised that this motor was not as powerful on 60 hz. As soon as I removed the machine and put it on a 50hz supply it was fine

its difficult to know what is causing your last spin to fail but I can speculate. the motor is monitored by the module for speed. they use this info to detect if the load is out of balance. If the power of the motor is lower then the expected speeds will not be reached or speed will fluctuate. this may make the machine assume the load is out od balance and abort the programme

try it with a very small load or with no load and see if it will spin

    Re: AEG oven cutting out.

according to the simple wiring diag for your oven the clock will stay on

try your oven and see if the cooling fan starts if it does not its prob this unit.

    Re: AEG oven cutting out.

these ovens not only have a fan inside the oven but a cool air fan that blows cold air. you may remember that the fan runs on after the oven cools down

I bet the oven heats up but this cooling fan does not start if so their are 2 likely suspects
    1 the fan motor
2 more likely the thermal relay

the interesting thing here is DESLIGADO seems to mean off in portugese if you google it

tried to find the owners manual online but cant

if you have the book you need to look at it to see if you have a way of changing language
also when you turn fridges back on some don’t turn on immediately so leave it for 10 mins or so and see what happens

what i would do in the field is first pull the unit out. if its waist height i use a B&D workmate. check the mains terminal block and make sure you check all terminal screws for tightness.
then run the unit while its out. when it goes off you can then make sure the unit still has a mains supply. one you have eliminated that you can go from there

    Re: Qualtex Account Closure

just cant get Qualtex are coming fom these days

as you say P45 if there is no stock of the item it does not count to the p&p. Their answer is it counts when they have it in stock and you send the next order, If its a special order they send them out on their own but if its a stock item you have to wait for the next order. the silly thing is you dont know they have it in stock till you go to put the oder through and click proceed. so we go through the week trying to get £100 to lose the p&p but when we put the order through there is another £20 of back orders we knew nothing about so we could have ordered earlier
one thing i asked the rep is why not do half p&p at £50. not heard a thing about that
why can connect & maddock quite happily keeps account open for under £1000 a year but Qualtex now seem to want a least £5000, wish i knew
dont want to lose the account but there will come a time when my turnover will drop as i head towards retirement

    Re: Lamona Dishwasher Problem

had one with a similar problem last week

there are 2 modules in the door, the right hand one has the buttons on it and water can get in and mess things up. with mine i stripped out the board and on careful inspection i could see corrosion caused by water on the board

i changed that board and all ok

    in your case its part

    https://shop.ukwhitegoods.co.uk/1891520 … isplay-pcb

of course a cannot guarentee i am correct but if you find corrosion its very liklely

Re: Electrulox EOB5360X cutting out totally

its the somtimes bit that makes it a puzzle

if it did it every time when it gets hot and comes back on when it cools down then i would say it a cooling fan problem and the overheat stat it cutting the unit out
    But
you are saying it only cut out somtimes on medium heat or am i reading that wrong ?

Re: Electrulox EOB5360X cutting out totally

got to be a power supply problem

first try a different socket in case its that, most machines start where they left off in case of power failure

    back off

can remember 2 screws each side think there are screws left and right of door some hidden by rubbers

then wrapper just lifts off. from memory hold it at the rear and lift it then use your other hand to tease it out both sides

quite simple when you have done one

a lot of sensor dryers will not heat and abort programme if no wet washing is sensed

have pm’ed you a manual but have had to guess the model as there are 17 machines with same model number
