ModeratorRe: How to test Miele motor
changing expensive part to try to find a fault in a machine can be a costly way to go about things. you may be right but if you are you would have heard a buzz from the motor (when the machine was still in one piece) and it would have got hot as the windings seem to be intact. you also may have got a fault code

if your looking at AEG ( which is owned by electrolux who also owns Zanussi)
look at the John Lewis own brand they are zanussi in disguise so are quite good machines
also agree with Podno1 that bosch range is ok and gives good service

ModeratorRe: How to test Miele motor
did you check if the motor was getting power when the machine was running. you are suspecting the motor is at fault but it might well be the timer.

you have to know what all 4 wires do before you can get it going
look at the plug in the harness are any of the pins linked ?

ModeratorRe: ADP3640 Diplomat Integrated oven
buy yourself an oven thermometer
https://shop.ukwhitegoods.co.uk/un1470- … hermometer
that way you can read the temp and put the marks in the right place

Connect expect you to email and wait

ModeratorRe: How to check fridge temperature
no he is right. the air temp goes up and down as the door is open and closed, also hot air rises so you can assume a temp difference from top to bottom. on top of that there cooling plate is at the rear so the closer you are to that the colder it gets
what you are after is your food being at the correct temp. putting the thermometer in water means the temp wont start to rise the minute you open the door and it mimics your food
try it and see if you get 4 degrees you know the average temp is around that and therefore safe. if its over 6 you need to ask questions unless you are opening the door a lot. try checking first thing in the morning

Thanks Grendal
have ordered a triac but will have to go back and meter out the cables if no one has any wiring info. would be nice to know where the 6 wires in the plug go without having to meter them all

ModeratorRe: Hotpoint ultima dishwasher h2o error code
all this means is the machine cant sense water. it could be the valve or the sensor for the water
when you run on a programme it should
1 pump for a bit
2 start fillingif it start to fill and you can hear water going in its a good chance its the sensor but you cant prove in unless you replace it

ModeratorRe: Bosch Single fan assisted Oven – HBN331E5B
no you don’t need a 30 amp main as this is only a single oven. Bosch recommend using a spur box as opposed to a 13 amp plug but saying that lots of these ovens a plugged into sockets without any problem
